      Course Description:

      The Industrial Fabrication Welding course objectives are to provide students with industrial training required for employment in the field of metal fabrication and welding. This course utilizes a hands-on, interactive approach to learning, and can be utilized across a variety of industries.

      This course specializes in welding processes that are used to join, cut, bend, drill, punch and manipulate various types of metal. Using elements of traditional welding and fabrication techniques, students will interpret blueprints and follow engineering specifications.

      Students who successfully complete the course will be prepared to test for ASME welding certifications in MIG, TIG, FCAW processes.

      Areas of Study: 

      The curriculum is structured for fabrication techniques, and students are trained on industry-standard machinery and equipment. The welding processes are performed on plate and pipe on low carbon steel, and students will develop and enhance skills in:

      Interpretation of Welding Symbols in Blueprints
      Welding Fabrication
      Equipment Technology
      Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW/MIG)
      Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIG)
      Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW)

      Qualifications:

      To be considered for acceptance into the Industrial Fabrication Welding program, interested individuals must:

      • be a minimum of 18 years of age upon entering the program
      • submit application form and fees
      • submit official high school transcript, or GED/HiSET certificate

    • Refund Policy

      If a class is cancelled by Franklin Technology Center, a full refund will be given. If an enrollee cancels or drops a class on or after the start date, see Student Handbook for Refund Policy. I have read and agree to this refund policy.

  • Admission Procedure- Industrial Fabrication Welding

     

    Step 1

    Submit Application with Tuition to Franklin Technology Center

    In order to be considered for admission into Franklin Technology Center, the first step in the process is to receive an application packet and complete the following:

    • Read the program sheet
    • Review program cost sheet and keep a copy (Important: The school reserves the right to adjust program tuition and fees prior to the start of the program.)
    • Complete & sign application form
    • Return signed application form, consent forms if applicable, and $2670 tuition fee to the address below or submitted online at franklintechnologycenter.com.
       

    Step 2

    Transcripts

    Once Step 1 is completed, provide the following:

    Official high school or GED/HiSET transcripts. It is your responsibility to request your transcript from the High School you graduated from or the state you received your GED/HiSET from. Please have requested copies mailed to:

    Step 3

    Acceptance into Program

    The Program Coordinator will send out a letter of acceptance, personal email, or contact via phone upon acceptance into the program.
