Program Dana
Dana (pronounced "DAH-nuh") is a traditional Pali term that translates as "generosity, gift, alms, donation, etc." Dana is a voluntary offering of materials, time, energy, or care to others. Dana is regarded as one of the most potent virtues for awakening the best within ourselves while benefiting the world.
The practice of generosity (Dana) is at the Heart of all we do at RIM. All offerings are offered and received through a circle of mutual goodwill, support, and generosity. All programs are offered in the spirit of Dana. In turn, RIM and its teachers are supported through the generosity/Dana of the community.
Each program has a suggested donation to help meet the financial needs of the center and the teachers. Half of your donation goes to RIM, and the other half goes to the teacher.
