Printmaker-Friendly Book Structures

Members and guests are invited to join artist Carolyn Qualle as she shares about hand held, viewer regulated objects that contain your prints.Beginning with a simple accordion structure and it’s iteration, these structures can evolve into sculpture, wall hangings or installations. This interactive evening will include a presentation, a display with examples of books she has created as well as local, national and international resources for learning Bookbinding.
Included in your admission is a tasty alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage, refreshments, a presentation by our speaker, question and answer time as well as time to mingle. Extra beverages will be available for purchase.
Event limited to 20 Participants, you do not need to be an Alberta Printmakers member to attend.
Speaker Bio:
Carolyn C. Qualle makes prints as a vehicle for her Artists Books. She has been making narrative hand bound books since childhood. She has taught visual art to students from 5 years old to post secondary for several decades.
