Entry Form Santa Fun Run 2023

This year the Rotary Club of Medway is pleased to invite participation in the Santa Fun Run around the ancient Historic Dockyard Chatham. The backdrop to all these events combines the River Medway and the ships and buildings that did so much to make Britain great. The route of the Fun Run will take you past historic buildings that have featured as the backdrop to many famous movies and film sets.
The Santa Fun Run starts from 1100hrs on Sunday 3rd December 2023 - but the event site opens from 0900hrs - see timetable below.

There are two events taking place consecutively. First will be the timed athletic 5k/10k event (Santa themed), followed by the fully Santa clad Fun Run. Entrants for the Santa Fun Run will be provided with a Santa suit (please select the correct size) or can pay an £8 entry fee and bring their own suit. All participants will get a relevant medal recognising their achievement.

Timetable of Events

0900hrs Runners for 5km / 10km run begin to arrive and collect timing chips & bibs

0930hrs Musical entertainment begins and Santa Fun Runners arrive and collect suits

1000hrs 5km / 10km run begins - Santa Fun Runners are welcome to spectate and support them

1115hrs Santa Fun Run parade around the fun run route

1130hrs Santa Fun Run commences

All participants collect relevant medals at the end of their run

1400hrs Music and entertainment ends

Toilets and Refreshments available
Spectators and other family members welcome

To attend and not participate you will need to log into the Chatham Historic Dockyard Trust Website to gain free entry to the site for the duration of the event only.

There will be a procession ahead of the fun run led by the inspiring Bloco Fogo band.

Music and Fun

Dave Slate from MTD Disco will be providing music throughout the morning, there will be refreshments and a licensed bar. The backdrop of hundreds of Santa-clad participants will make for a delightful day. For those taking part in the events, there will be a warm-up session led by a team from The Right Step Dance Company.
