Christ-like Conduct: Volunteers associated with Illinois Student Ministries (ISM) must uphold Christ-like behavior, characterized by grace, honesty, kindness, and intentionality.

Graceful Responses: Exercise grace, especially in stressful situations, when others may express frustration. If issues arise, direct individuals to ISM Leadership for resolution without attempting to fix the situation personally.

Honesty: Always prioritize honesty in your service to prevent misunderstandings.

Kindness: Embrace kindness as a cornerstone of volunteer attributes, especially during impactful moments in services and worship that may evoke unexpected emotions in students.

Purposeful Work: Approach your tasks with intentionality, aligning with ISM-proven systems designed for large-scale conferences. Work efficiently to ensure productivity.

Equal Importance: Recognize that every job assignment is equally vital to the smooth operation of the conference. Check in upon arrival and report to your group leader before departing.

Dismissal Clause: ISM reserves the right to dismiss any individual not adhering to the agreed-upon conduct during the conference. If asked to leave, you must do so immediately, with no remuneration or reimbursement from ISM.

Reasons for Dismissal: Reasons for dismissal may include inappropriate behavior, use of unbecoming language in a Christian atmosphere, any form of sexual harassment, rudeness or unkindness towards guests or fellow staff, failure to follow instructions or leaving your post without informing staff, entering rooms of the opposite gender, use of illicit substances, vapes, nicotine, or alcohol during service, or any actions considered dangerous or offensive to staff or guests.

Prior to Dismissal: Before requesting your departure, ISM will discuss the nature of your actions, explain why they are unacceptable, and understand the factors leading to your dismissal.
