Come join the band! The SBCS band program is open to 4th-6th grade students who would like to participate. Students may choose and learn one of these instruments: clarinet, alto saxophone, flute, trumpet, or trombone. Percussion is also available but students must have at least 2 years of piano lessons.

• Makes you smarter! Many studies have shown that participation in a musical group, such as band, can benefit the child in academic subjects.

 

SBCS band is a "pull out" program. Students will have one 30 minute lesson each week on a rotating basis starting in the beginning of October. In addition, there will be full band practices from 8:15-8:45 Tuesday and Thursday mornings.  Starting dates to be announced.

Band Costs:

The 2023-24 tuition charge for band is $450. A limited amount of SBCS or Mrs. McNeill's instruments are available to borrow for the band year otherwise the student will need to provide his or her instrument.
