The Next Era
The Next Era program will create an opportunity for 20 students, between grade levels 9 and 11, to learn from Vans staff and local professionals both virtually and in person. Classes will be hands-on and include topics such as ‘Legal’ where students will learn about contracts and agreements, including creative service agreements, lease agreements & operating agreements. Other sessions will include but are not limited to, ‘Finance’, ‘Sourcing’, ‘Footwear Design’, ‘Production’, ‘Human Relations’, and ‘Marketing’. Each student will be given their own Apple iPad to complete their work with and keep at the end of the program, as well as access to computers with industry-standard Adobe CC, as they embark on an accelerated course that is sure to elevate their understanding of the retail fashion industry
