Congratulations on completing another year of being a Certified Candidate in the United Methodist Church in Virginia! We are grateful for God's call upon your life and want to see your ministry continue to flourish.

You will need three documents to complete this step of the Candidacy Renewal Process.
- If you are enrolled, a transcript from your school, college, or seminary showing progress in education from the past 12 months.
- A written report from the candidate on service and leadership in the church with reference to 310.2a (ie. growth in these areas since certification)
- Annual recommendation of renewal by your home church charge conference or equivalent body as determined by the District Committee on Ordained Ministry
Jotform does have the ability to save but in order to diminish the possibility of error, you are encouraged to obtain your transcripts, write your report, and obtain the recommendation from your charge conference FIRST before you begin to fill out this form.

After the form has been submitted it will automatically be submitted to your dCOM chair. They will contact you for a renewal interview shortly thereafter.

Provide a written report with reference to ¶ 310.2a which invites reflection on your growth in service and leadership in the church, shifts or confirmations in your beliefs as a Christian, your understanding of your gifts for ministry, the elements of your support system, and your current sense of call to become a licensed local pastor, an ordained deacon, or ordained elder in the United Methodist Church.
