      DUTIES: Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Medical Assistant to support our providers and nursing staff in delivering high-quality patient care. This role plays a vital part in preparing for and assisting with clinical services, managing patient records, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations in accordance with facility policies and procedures.

      KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

      • Perform healthcare services in accordance with facility policy and procedures.
      • Act as a patient advocate and competent assistant to LPNs, RNs, physicians, PAs, and nurse practitioners.
      • Prepare patients of all ages for examination and treatment. Obtain vital signs, perform tympanograms, vision checks, EKGs, and collect specimens. Assist with nurse service patients (BP checks, weight checks, ear washes).
      • Maintain clean, organized, and stocked exam rooms and workstations.
      • Clean and disinfect patient care equipment after use.
      • Provide coverage for other nurses and assist with end-of-day duties.
      • Document using approved medical abbreviations and sign all entries. Manage and review patient records. Enter patient history, medications, allergies, and immunizations into EMR. Preload information for new patients and update charts as needed.

      DUTIES: We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. This role is responsible for obtaining high-quality specimens for diagnostic testing while ensuring patient comfort and safety. The ideal candidate will be skilled in differentiating STAT from routine requests, assessing patient conditions, and accurately documenting data in the Meditech system.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Collect blood and other specimens with minimal discomfort to patients.
      • Prioritize STAT requests and distinguish them from routine samples.
      • Assess patient condition and medication schedules to ensure accurate and timely specimen collection.
      • Accurately enter relevant data into the Meditech system for physician review.
      • Maintain a high level of customer service, addressing the needs of both internal and external clients.
      • Follow all safety, infection control, and quality assurance protocols. 

      Qualifications:

      • High school diploma or equivalent required.
      • Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program preferred.
      • Certification (e.g., ASCP, NHA) is a plus.
      • Previous experience in a clinical or hospital setting is desirable.
      • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
      • Proficiency with Meditech or similar electronic health record systems is a plus.

      DUTIES: Candidate would assist in the monitoring of the pharmacy’s workflow and other needs for efficient operation which includes the oversight and training of pharmacy technicians, sales clerks, student interns or graduate interns.

      Provides accurate, efficient, and appropriate pharmaceutical distribution services to patients by properly interpreting physicians drug orders and dispensing the appropriate medications utilizing the accepted departmental programs for these activities. Reviews patient medical and pharmaceutical records and monitors for efficient drug therapy, drug interaction, adverse drug reactions, contraindication, allergies, and sensitivities. Compounds and dispenses medications as prescribed by doctors and dentists, by calculating, weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients, or oversee these activities.                                                        

      Provides professional consultation, advice and drug information to providers, nurses, patients, and other ancillary medical professionals pursuant to and in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.

      REQUIREMENTS: Current State of Montana Speech-Language Pathologist License. Master’s degree in speech-language pathology or communication disorders from an accredited program by council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association or its equivalent. Passed the National Praxis examination in speech-language pathology or its equivalent.

      Qualified Applicant will be responsible for accessing, planning, organizing, and participating in rehabilitative programs and plans of care that develop and improve speech-language skills to improve communicative skills.
