DUTIES: Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Medical Assistant to support our providers and nursing staff in delivering high-quality patient care. This role plays a vital part in preparing for and assisting with clinical services, managing patient records, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations in accordance with facility policies and procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform healthcare services in accordance with facility policy and procedures.
• Act as a patient advocate and competent assistant to LPNs, RNs, physicians, PAs, and nurse practitioners.
• Prepare patients of all ages for examination and treatment. Obtain vital signs, perform tympanograms, vision checks, EKGs, and collect specimens. Assist with nurse service patients (BP checks, weight checks, ear washes).
• Maintain clean, organized, and stocked exam rooms and workstations.
• Clean and disinfect patient care equipment after use.
• Provide coverage for other nurses and assist with end-of-day duties.
• Document using approved medical abbreviations and sign all entries. Manage and review patient records. Enter patient history, medications, allergies, and immunizations into EMR. Preload information for new patients and update charts as needed.

HOURS: Full-time position; 10-hour shifts; rotating weekends, holidays required

REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or GED Preferred. Computer Skills Preferred Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and Outlook. not required, on the job training provided, if not certified.           

DUTIES: We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. This role is responsible for obtaining high-quality specimens for diagnostic testing while ensuring patient comfort and safety. The ideal candidate will be skilled in differentiating STAT from routine requests, assessing patient conditions, and accurately documenting data in the Meditech system.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect blood and other specimens with minimal discomfort to patients.
• Prioritize STAT requests and distinguish them from routine samples.
• Assess patient condition and medication schedules to ensure accurate and timely specimen collection.
• Accurately enter relevant data into the Meditech system for physician review.
• Maintain a high level of customer service, addressing the needs of both internal and external clients.
• Follow all safety, infection control, and quality assurance protocols. 

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program preferred.
• Certification (e.g., ASCP, NHA) is a plus.
• Previous experience in a clinical or hospital setting is desirable.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Meditech or similar electronic health record systems is a plus.

HOURS: 7:00am – 3:30PM or until end of surgery cases. Monday–Friday. On-call nights and weeks ends. This position will rotate call equally among techs (approx. 7 days a month).

REQUIREMENTS: Certification preferred. On the job training for right candidate or offsite professional education to become a Surgical Scrub Tech for right candidates.

REQUIREMENTS: Customer Service experience (preferred)

DUTIES: Pharmacy clerk assists the Pharmacists, Certified Pharmacy Technicians, and retail gift shop employees with the daily operational and customer service tasks. Qualified candidate will scan and file prescriptions that have been filled, operate POS system to accept payments from customers. Reconciliation of tills, prepping daily deposits, posting charges on patient accounts and assisting with monthly billing. Assist in ordering and receiving incoming inventory and supplies. Check the Rx and OTC inventory for outdates, and price, stock and mark items for sale.

**Will be cross trained to help cover Inpatient Pharmacy on call coverage.

HOURS: Full-time, Monday- Friday, 8 am – 6 pm (Exact hours will vary based on scheduling). Inpatient on call rotation (approximately 1 week per month)  Days of operation subject to expand.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD. Current and Active Montana State Pharmacy License.  Certified immunizer with current BLS certification.

DUTIES: Candidate would assist in the monitoring of the pharmacy’s workflow and other needs for efficient operation which includes the oversight and training of pharmacy technicians, sales clerks, student interns or graduate interns.

Provides accurate, efficient, and appropriate pharmaceutical distribution services to patients by properly interpreting physicians drug orders and dispensing the appropriate medications utilizing the accepted departmental programs for these activities. Reviews patient medical and pharmaceutical records and monitors for efficient drug therapy, drug interaction, adverse drug reactions, contraindication, allergies, and sensitivities. Compounds and dispenses medications as prescribed by doctors and dentists, by calculating, weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients, or oversee these activities.                                                        

Provides professional consultation, advice and drug information to providers, nurses, patients, and other ancillary medical professionals pursuant to and in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.

REQUIREMENTS: Current State of Montana Speech-Language Pathologist License. Master’s degree in speech-language pathology or communication disorders from an accredited program by council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association or its equivalent. Passed the National Praxis examination in speech-language pathology or its equivalent.

Qualified Applicant will be responsible for accessing, planning, organizing, and participating in rehabilitative programs and plans of care that develop and improve speech-language skills to improve communicative skills. Perform and document initial exam, evaluating data to identify problems and determine a diagnosis prior to intervention and treatment. Administer interventions and treatments to help improve the patient’s overall function. Evaluate effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit. Work with patients, medical practitioners and other appropriate personal to plan, implement and assess the intervention for the patient.  Record prognosis, treatment, response, and progression in patients charts timely using Meditech EMR system.

DUTIES: Qualified candidate will interpret and correlate clinical test results. Technologist is expected to utilize complex problem-solving skills in resolving clinical and instrument problems. Technologist will comply with OSHA and regulatory requirements by following established procedures in order to maintain a safe laboratory environment and to meet accreditation standards. Generalist position with Blood Banking and Microbiology experience required.
