Kabataang Gitarista Application Form for Batch 10

The Kabataang Gitarista (KG) Program, a free Classical Guitar Training Program for Junior High School Students from public schools is now accepting applications for new members! This highly successful program is open to students from schools in Caloocan, Manila, Pasay, Parañaque, Las Piñas, Bacoor, and Imus, Cavite. The accepted applicants will attend sessions that will take place every Saturday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon at the Cultural Center of the Philippines, Pasay City.

The applicants should have the following qualifications:

be enrolled in a public high school in: Caloocan, Manila, Pasay, Parañaque, Las Piñas, Bacoor, or Imus, Cavite
be in either grade levels 7, 8, or 9;
have high interest in learning the classical guitar;
can commit to attend the FREE weekly lessons on Saturdays at the CCP;
be able to bring a nylon-stringed guitar to the weekly lessons;
have good moral character;
have average or higher scholastic standing;
be able to submit the following requirements via this online application form:

- Parent's consent
- (Optional) Audition Video (Link) with the following requirements:
  1. One guitar piece, preferably demonstrating plucking / fingerstyle;
  2. In .mp4 Format;
  3. In landscape orientation;
  4. With limited to no background noise; and
  5. The upper body including both hands and the guitar should be visible in the video frame.
  6. Submissions not complying with the abovementioned requirements will not be entertained.

Note: Kabataang Gitarista is accepting applicants with or without knowledge/skill on classical guitar playing. The audition video may consist of a short playing/plucking/strumming of the guitar.

November 12, 2022, Saturday, 11:59 PM	Announcement of first batch of shortlisted applicants (Online via email)
November 18, 2022, Friday, 11:59 PM	Deadline of Submission of Application Form w/ or w/o Audition Video (Online via this form)
November 19, 2022, Saturday, 8:00 AM	Auditions for the shortlisted applicants and walk-in (Onsite at the Tanghalang Manuel Conde, Cultural Center of the Philippines)
