We encourage some financial sacrifice on your part yet recognize the difficulty of paying for the entire cost of the trip on your own. We encourage you to seek the Lord for your financial needs and as the Lord leads, make your needs known to your pastor or mission’s leader, friends, or family.

Because of the distractions that cell phones and social media present, we ask that you limit your time on your phone and social media to times that the leader specifies. Will you be committed to limiting your use and accepting instruction from group leaders about your use so as not to miss an opportunity of service that may present itself?*

We ask that your attire be modest for both men and women. The host culture, home congregation, and BMA's expectations will all be contributing factors for the definition of modest. We ask the men to have short hair and wear long pants and shirts with sleeves. We ask the women to wear skirts or dresses that cover the knees while standing and sitting. Women must also wear a head covering of substantial size. For both men and women, refrain from wearing tight clothing, decorative jewelry, wristbands, wedding bands, nail polish or makeup that alters your natural appearance.
