    The AABIP Conference is the flagship annual event for the AABIP providing updated scientific knowledge, cutting edge research, networking opportunities, and exposure to emerging minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic interventions and technologies related to the care of patients with thoracic disease.

    Term:  2 years
     
    2023 Scientific Program Committee Co-Chair Term:

    2024 Scientific Program Committee Co-Chair Term:

    • 2024 Co-Chair
    • 2025 Chair

    Description: The selected applicants will serve as the Scientific Program Committee Co-Chair and together with the course chair will work with the AABIP Program Organizing Committee to plan the AABIP Conference. The selected individual will assume the position of Chair for the Scientific Program the following year (i.e. during the second year of the term). This is a voluntary service position.

    **All candidates for this position will automatically be considered for the Content Track Subcommittee member positions.**
     
    Position Requirements:

    • Physician member of the AABIP in good standing
    • Five or more years from completion of most recent formal fellowship training (IP or PCCM)
    • Demonstration of prior service within the AABIP

    2.)  Scientific Program Content Track Subcommittee Members

    Term:  1 year

    Description: The selected applicants will serve as a Content Track Subcommittee Members.  Content Track Subcommittees will work under the guidance of the Scientific Program Chair/Co-Chair to develop the scientific content of the AABIP Conference.  Content Track Subcommittee Chairs will be selected from this pool of applicants to lead subcommittees in this process. This is a voluntary service position.
     
    Position Requirements:

    • Member of the AABIP in good standing
    • All members of the AABIP are welcome to participate as Content Track Subcommittee Members.  As such, junior members, current IP fellows, and non-physician members are encouraged to apply.
