**Business in Vancouver is closely monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic and will notify nominators of any changes to the event’s timeline as they happen.**
Nominations are now open for the BC CTO Awards program.
Awards will be presented in multiple categories recognizing technology leadership at public companies, private companies, and nonprofit/government organizations.
The Awards will honour chief information officers, chief technology officers, and others in top IT posts across BC with the goal of recognizing standout technology leadership and breakthrough innovation at all types of companies. Up to seven winning IT executives will be profiled in an August issue of Business in Vancouver and honoured at a special awards event in November 2022..
AWARD CATEGORIES:
- Product Breakthrough of the Year
- Startup CTO of the Year
- Innovator of the Year
- Visionary of the Year
- CIO of the Year
- CTO of the Year
CRITERIA & ELIGIBILITY:
Honourees are chosen based on their ability to develop and use technology in innovative ways that create a competitive advantage, optimize business processes, enable company growth and impact the company’s the bottom line. Furthermore, all honourees will have demonstrated leadership and initiative to make a difference at their company and in the industry at large.
In addition:
- All honourees will perform the top technology executive role at their company, regardless of their title (ie: CIO, CTO, VP of Information Technology, etc.)
- Honourees must have performed this role for a minimum of 2 years within the same company
- Honourees must be based in British Columbia
- Honourees must agree to have their name stand and be available for the awards event in November 2022
SUPPORTING MATERIALS:
Please prepare the below supporting materials in advance of submitting your nomination and include them as attachments in the nomination form to follow:
- Two letters of support for the nominee
- The nominee's curriculum vitae
- A brief history of the company
- A high resolution headshot ofthe nominee in jpeg format
SELECTION PROCESS:
An independent panel of judges will review all nominations and make recommendations on winners based on information provided in each nomination package.
PLEASE NOTE:
- All nominations packages should be no more than 10 pages
- Confidentiality of all information is guaranteed
- Nomination forms must be submitted online
- You will not be able to edit information once your have submitted your nomination
- Nominators may submit nominations for more than one individual
- Self-nominations will be accepted
- Please do not submit multiple nominations for one individual
NOMINATIONS DEADLINE:
Completed nominations, including supporting materials must be received by Business in Vancouver no later than noon on October 5th, 2022. No nominations will be accepted after this time.
