  • Please review these policies to ensure we are a good fit for you:

     
    1. Purrs and Playin' Paws Pet Care, LLC will not share the duty of caring for a pet(s) while a client is away on vacation with the clients’ family members, friends, neighbors, other pet sitting companies or person under the age of 18.


    It is a liability risk to the company to share the care of pet(s) and responsibility of the property with someone who is not an animal care professional to our company’s standards.

     

    *In unique situations, a waiver can be signed. 


    This policy also applies to any irregular requests (defined as the client will be away less than a 24 hour span but not a regular midday dog walking client) when medication is involved.

     

    2. CARE FOR SEIZURE PRONE/CRITICALLY ILL/END OF LIFE PETS‼️🔔 ‼️🔔  

    I unfortunately do not feel comfortable caring for pets with seizures or any similar issue. I have declined all requests from potential clients in the past. I apologize there is not a policy about it on the website, it is being added today. 

    My reasoning is because seizures can be very dangerous if a person is not present with the pet at the time of it. My business does not offer multi-hour care during the day, so said pet would be alone for several hours. 

    The pet could become injured, left in its own urine or fecal waste, or have a seizure so long it causes neurological damage, pets can also become aggressive during or when coming out of a seizure causing injury to fellow pets or the caregiver. I do not feel comfortable assuming this risk.

    I am sorry to decline requests like these but I will have to recommend a facility that offers 24 hour medical supervision/boarding. 

     

    3. Midday Dog Walking Cancellation Policy

    Cancellations are due by 10am the morning of a typical visit. Our dog walkers are typically out and about from 10:00am to 4:00pm and have a very precisely planned day. Cancelled midday visits post 10:00am result in a $6.50 fee that will be noted on invoice. 

     This fee is waived on the first occurance, but the second and thereafter offenses will result in the fee. 

    4. Vacation or Irregular Job Cancellation Policy 

    Cancelling of a fully booked vacation job (defined as the owner is not returning home for more than 1 night) is waived one time, the second and all ongoing offenses will result in 25% of job total due to compensate our walkers for sudden lost income.

     

    5. Audio/Visual Recording Devices

    It is the obligation of the client to alert the employee of Purrs and Playin' Paws if ANYONE is to be on the property or in the home during the time of service, and to share where audio and visual recording devices are located. The pet sitter reserves the right to decline the visit if they feel uncomfortable or are surprised by the presence of unknown people or recording devices. If it is discussed ahead of time, the pet sitter is obligated complete the visit.

     

    6. Acceptable Collars

    Due to our Fear Free standards and moral beliefs, Purrs and Playin’ Paws Pet Sitting and Dog Walking Company, LLC is unwilling to take on clients who utilize prong, electric shock collars, collars that produce high pitch noises only the pet can hear or any sort of choke chain collar on their dog for training purposes. The exception is shock collars worn ONLY when going outside in a yard with an underground electric fence.

     

    7.  We cannot care for outdoor/barn/stray cats that have free reign/total autonomy. Additionally we will not take on clients who keep their dogs outside regardless of the "shelter" containing them. 

     

    8. SMALL ANIMAL CARE * Please be sure to read*

    Clients must include all pets that reside in the home on their new client electronic form. this includes filling out their basic information, feeding instructions, allergy information and medications needed.
    If a client is away from the home for 24 hours + all small animals within the home will be charged for PER VISIT. NO EXCEPTIONS. *see pricing information on pricing page*
    Small animals will be checked on for health status, will be ensured addequate food and water, and provided human interaction/enrichment at ALL VISITS. I will NOT IGNORE small animals,. 

     

    9. MEDICATION/SUPPLEMENTS etc CONTAINERS

    Pills/Supplements/Preventatives $1.00/per full pill.
    Liquid via Syringe/ Injections (such as Insulin) $2.00/ per dose
    Eye or Ear Drops/Ointment - $1.00 per eye/ear

    ALL MEDICATION MUST BE IN ORIGINAL
    BOTTLE/PACKAGE WITH INSTRUCTION LABEL

    Please do not remove pills, supplements, powders, or anything from its original container. If there have been changes to the dosing instructions, and there is not a new label, please have the veterinarian put it in writing. Purrs and Playin’ Paws DOES NOT ACCEPT PILL ORGANIZING CONTAINERS.

     

    10. Dogs will not be given any sort of rawhide bone or greenie dental bone, pets will not be left with toys or bones, or "busy item" while unattended between visits. Clients are NOT PERMITTED to leave bones of any kind in crates. This is a serious choking hazard that can lead to death.

  • *The Owner/Walker Team Manager of Purrs and Playin' Paws is only person who will have this information. 

  • *Cameras inside of the home and recording devices in general MUST be disclosed to our pet sitters/dog walker at the initial meet and greet. 

     

  • I understand that it is my obligation as a client to alert the employee of Purrs and Playin' Paws if ANYONE is to be on the property or in the home during the time of service, and to share where audio and visual recording devices are located.     By signing this I also confirm that I have NOT OMITTED any of my pets including small animals such as fish, birds, hermit crabs, chickens, frogs, lizards, guinea pigs, rabbits, parrots, ETC.  Additionally, if there is a NON MENTIONED SMALL ANIMAL/PET the client WILL BE CHARGED APPROPIATLEY per pricing. The company is morally obligated to care for ALL LIVING BEINGS IN THE HOME. 

  • Purrs and Playin' Paws Pet Care, LLC  is comfortable putting the charge of an emergency/urgent care exam on the company credit card in the event of an urgent matter so that your pet can receive medical attention. The exam fee can range from $65-500. We will also provide the facility with your contact information. It is the veterinary practice's responsibility to contact you as the owner and discuss treatment options. You are required to reimburse the company within 30 days of your pets visit. If no reimbursement is received in this time frame 10% of the exam valuewill be invoiced per week until paid as interest. Please initial below that you understand.

  • I have been provided a Service Charging Key Chart *see first page*. I understand that I will recieve an estimate for services once my request is reviewed and all additonal questions that arise post review are answered. 

     Additionally I understand that if I laspe in service for 12 months + I will move up to the current pricing scale and be considered "A new client". 

  • INFORMATION REGARDING BILLING AND INVOICING

     

    You will be provided with an electronic estimate after your request is reviewed, and then a paper copy at the intial household/walker meeting

    Do you understand that payment is due within 24 hours of final day of service? Further services will be halted until payment is recieved. *For regular midday clients, payment is sent biweekly every other Friday and due by the following Sunday via PAYPAL or via cash or check on next service date.

    "Refur-a-Friend" -- Refur a client to us and enjoy a never ending discount for as long as they are an active client! This is in appreciation for helping our company grow! Friend MUST request service and pay their first invoice before discount is applied.

    What is the discount? $6 off your invoice-PER refurral!

    *Active client is defined by having utilized Purrs and Playin' Paws Pet Care, LLC's services within the past 12 months. 

    **Discounts cannot result in a credit

    "Sit, Stay, High Fivel" -- For every passing year you stay with the company, you will receive 10% off your invoice. Caps at 90%/9 years. Anniversary month is noted on bottom of estimates.
