  • NVRA needs you!

    Committees shape the benefits and events offered throughout the course of the year. Please review the committee descriptions below and complete the form if you are interested in serving on a committee. A note: "Host Committee" means that the committee members are responsible for planning event details, content, and volunteer to assist with various setup and breakdown of the event and sponsorship efforts. While committee members are not required to attend each NVRA event hosted by their committee, we strongly encourage full participation as possible!

  • Community Service:

    This committee fundraises for select local charities and volunteers as REALTOR® representatives at community events. Each year, the committee selects local charities to support throughout the NVRA service area. The committee meets once a month and is open to REALTORS® and Affiliates. Host Committee for the NVRA Golf Tournament, Burgers and Beer, and all charitable fundraising efforts. Time Commitment: 1 hour per month plus relevant events. Meets second Tuesday of each month at 12 PM via Zoom.

  • Education:

    The Education Committee identifies key educational opportunities for REALTOR® members throughout the year. Host committee for monthly Lunch and Learn Series and Continuing Education courses. The committee meets monthly or as determined by Committee Chair. Open to REALTORS® and Affiliates. Time Commitment: 2 hours per month; third Tuesday of the month.

  • Government Affairs:

    This committee is responsible for monitoring local proposals and regulations pertaining to housing, real estate, and economic development in the NVRA service area, as well as building relationships with local elected officials and staff to shape the local regulatory landscape. The Government Affairs committee also manages RPAC campaigns and fundraising. REALTORS® only. Time Commitment: 2 hours per month plus relevant events.

  • Professional Standards and Grievance:

    Members of the Professional Standards and Grievance Committee hold Code of Ethics, mediation, and arbitration hearings between REALTORS® and REALTORS® and their clients. Training course is required at your own expense. Meets as-needed. REALTORS® only. Time Commitment: Variable.

  • Rising Professionals Alliance:

    The Rising Professionals Alliance aims to provide a supportive and dynamic community for REALTORS®, regardless of age. The RPA facilitates opportunities for professional growth through networking events, leadership development, and collaboration for a more professional, productive real estate community. Host committee for NVRA social events, Café NVRA, REALTORS® of Distinction, and the Holiday Party. Meets once a month at a local brewery or coffee shop and is open to REALTORS® and Affiliates. Time Commitment: 2 hours per month plus relevant events.

  • Serving as a Committee Chair:

    Each NVRA committee has 1 chairperson responsible for monitoring progress toward the committee's annual goals. Committees all have an NVRA staff assignment who will assist the Chairperson in agenda creation, meeting reminders, and other logistics necessary to successful committee work. A Chairperson should expect to add 2-3 hours to the estimated time commitment listed above.
