Food Trucks offer fast festival food that is prepared within their truck or cart. All operations must stay within the truck or cart.
BEVERAGE RULES:
Only non-alcoholic beverages may be sold by food trucks and food vendors. All drinks and pricing must be included on the menu submitted with the application.
CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE:
• Provide a certificate of liability insurance for $1,000,000 naming as Additional Insured:
• Self-Help Information Network and Exchange | NC Muslim Festival | Event date: May 10, 2025.
ELECTRICITY:
• Electric needs must not exceed 110 volts /15amps; YOU MUST REQUEST ELECTRICAL ACCESS AT TIME OF APPLICATION to receive it. Electrical space is limited. Vendors are encouraged to use quiet generators.
• Food Trucks will pay for additional electricity if needed and will tape all electrical cords down and maintain their secure taping during the festival if stretched across a walkway
• Food Trucks vendors will supply electrical cords with covers if stretched across a walkway.
PAYMENTS & FEES:
Our team will market each vendor. The NC Muslim Festival team invests a great deal of time and money to market each vendor. This fee will cover the time and money invested to market that vendor. Your signed applications give acknowledgment of this charge.
• Flat Fee – the fee you pay for your space at the festival.
• Failure to submit payments on time may forfeit your space at this festival.
• Spaces are sold on a first come first paid basis.
• Fees are non-refundable & non-negotiable for cancellations made after January 24, 2025.
• If canceled before January 24th, only 50% of the vendor fee will be refunded.

FIRE EXTINGUISHERS:
- This is a city-permitted event. Therefore, all food trucks or carts are required to have a fire extinguisher within their vehicle. Failure to do so may result in inability to operate on the day of the event.
• All food trucks’ deep frying must have CURRENT K-Type fire extinguishers with current service tags.
• Food trucks and food vendors that are not frying, must have a minimum of one, 2A:20BC and one K-rated fire extinguisher.
FOOD TRUCKS:
• Food Trucks must have a minimum of one, 2A:20BC and one K-rated fire extinguisher.
• A maximum of two LP gas containers with a total aggregate water capacity of 25 gallons is permitted on a single food truck.
HEALTH PERMIT:
All food trucks and food vendors must apply and be approved for a Temporary Food Service Establishment Permit. A Temporary Food Service Establishment Permit must be obtained by Vendor prior to set-up at the NC Muslim Festival. All Food trucks and food vendors MUST DISPLAY a SERVSAFE CERTIFICATION. A copy of this certification must be given to the NC Muslim Festival contract specialist prior to set up. Vendors will not be able to set up if the NC Muslim Festival event contract specialist does not have the certification on file.
LOAD-IN & SET-UP:
Food trucks are required to check in at the festival registration location prior to loading in and setting up.
Festival Registration information will be provided via email no later than the Monday prior to the festival.
Without being a confirmed-approved vendor, vendors will not be allowed to access festival grounds to set up.
• Copy of Servsafe Certification is required at check-in. Check-in is at 7:30 am on Saturday, May 10, 2025.
• All Food trucks must be set up by 10:30 a.m., open by 11:00 a.m., and remain open until 7:00 p.m.
• All Food trucks must claim their assigned booth space no later than 10:30 a.m. on Saturday morning as the vending street will be closed.
• All Food trucks must be present and open for business during ALL festival hours.
PHOTOGRAPHY & PROMOTION:
• Food trucks agree to allow the use of video and photography taken by Festival organizers at the NC Muslim Festival for promotional purposes.
• Any photos taken by the NC Muslim Festival are the property of the festival.
PROPANE TANKS:
All vendors with propane tanks are required to bring all necessary equipment to properly secure them.
SAFETY & SECURITY:
• Applicants shall sell and serve food at their own risk.
• Applicants must obey all pertinent safety codes and laws, including, but not limited to, fire, safety, and parking regulations.
• NC Muslim Festival reserves the right to shut down any vendors not meeting cleanliness and food storage safety codes and laws.
• Canopy tents must be fire retardant; open flames must be located a minimum of 10’ away from all canopy materials.
• All canopies, tents, and other temporary structures must be weighed before you are permitted to open, with the equivalent of 40 pounds per pole minimum. Booths may not open until properly weighted. Festival may shut you down for not having proper weights.
• The NC Muslim Festival is not liable or responsible for delays, cancellations, or postponement of the festival or events within the Festival due to inclement weather, government actions, strikes, or other matters beyond our control.
SPACE:
• Food trucks will abide by NC MUSLIM FESTIVAL staff requirements regarding location(s). NC MUSLIM FESTIVAL reserves the right to change a vendor location at any time.
• Food trucks will provide all required equipment for operations and sales.
• Food trucks A-frame signs cannot extend further than 3 feet from the façade of the booth. Food trucks are liable for any injury or damage caused by signs.
• Any food vendors that fry must be in a food truck only.
WASTE:
• No grease or gray water disposal is available.
• No water will be provided by NC MUSLIM FESTIVAL
• Food Truck Vendors are responsible for removing debris and ensuring the general cleanliness of the area.
WEATHER:
The NC Muslim Festival team reserves the right to cancel the festival due to extreme weather or public safety concerns, without a refund to the vendor. In the event of such an occurrence, we will reschedule the festival and maintain your booking credit as a vendor.
Legal
FOOD TRUCKS ARE INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS:
Food trucks execute this Agreement as independent contractors and shall at all times have complete supervision, direction, and control over the services to fulfill requirements. Vendors execute this agreement as independent contractors, not as an employee of NC MUSLIM FESTIVAL. Vendors will assume responsibility for the appropriate payment of payroll taxes and charges under applicable federal and local law. Vendors agree to take complete responsibility for paying the appropriate federal and state taxes as independent contractors.
