Thank you for entrusting Northwest Animal Care Hospital with your pet's boarding stay! Please take a moment to read this email entirely for important details about boarding requirements and general information. We will be sending you our boarding consent forms as well as an estimate for your pet's stay, including any additional amenities that have been requested. The boarding consent and estimate will need to be completed within 48hrs of delivery to complete the boarding reservation. Be sure to reach out to us at any time for further clarification if needed.
All pets boarding at Northwest Animal Care Hospital must be current on required services a minimum of 7 days prior to boarding stay. The requirements for DOGS are a Yearly exam, DAPP, Bordetella, Rabies, and negative fecal. The requirements for CATS are a Yearly exam, FVRCP, Rabies, and negative fecal. All dogs and cats over 6 months of age must be neutered or spayed to stay in the boarding facility without exception.
All pets boarding must also be on an approved monthly flea preventative (Revolution, Frontline, Advantage, Simparica Trio, etc.). If the current vaccination status is not received by our team within 7 days of the arrival date, the reservation will be canceled. It is the owner's responsibility to verify the pet is up to date and to provide records.
Feeding times and potty walks occur on a scheduled basis. Throughout the boarding facility, pets are fed and walked on a schedule which accommodates all pets. Feeding and medication times are from 7-8 am and then 5-6 pm. Dogs will be taken out for potty walks a minimum of 3 times daily, not including any additional play times and we are unable to accommodate special requests for individual potty walks at this time. We are unable to prepare or safely store any diets other than dry kibble or canned foods. Due to the risk of salmonella contamination, raw diets are strictly prohibited. We will do our best to accommodate but are unable to guarantee your pet will stay in a particular suite or condo or guarantee the availability of last-minute changes to the reservation (i.e., early drop off/late pick up).
Due to limited space, we ask that you limit personal belongings to 2 small items (toys, a small blanket, etc.), a collar, and up to a 20lb bag of food. If your pet is staying for an extended reservation, contact our boarding team to discuss accommodation for a larger food supply. Beds and bedding can be brought for your pet's boarding stay. Please be aware, we are unable to wash large beds and comforters due to the limited size of our washing machines. Any bedding that is soiled during a pet's stay may not be washed and will be returned to the owner to take home for cleaning if they do not fit in our washer and dryer. Soiled bedding will always be replaced with clean bedding during your pet's stay for their comfort.
All dogs staying five or more days will be bathed prior to discharge as a complimentary service. Please note: FULL GROOMING SERVICES with a professional groomer are available BY APPOINTMENT ONLY and will need to be scheduled well in advance.
Oral and topical medications can be administered at an additional charge (complimentary for Suites). NOTICE: We are unable to board pets with seizures or diabetic patients. Also, we cannot keep controlled substances in the boarding facility. To discuss hospitalization options for these pets instead, please contact the hospital directly. Medications or baths will not be provided if, in the opinion of the staff, the safety of the pet or employee may be compromised.
Check-in and check out times are 8:30am-11:30am and 1:30pm-4:30pm M-F, and 8:30am-11:30am/1:30pm-3:30pm on Saturdays. Once the boarding reservation is confirmed a team member will reach out to you to schedule one-hour check-in and check-out windows. A deposit is required for pets that will stay five nights or more at the time of scheduling. The deposit will be 50% of the estimate and non-refundable if the boarding reservation is canceled with less than 1 week's notice. If your pet is to be picked up by someone other than yourself, arrangements must be made in advance with Northwest Animal Care Hospital, and full payment must be rendered prior to the release of the pet.
This form does not constitute as a reservation.
