Guidelines & Procedures for Males Camping with Girl Scouts
Males often serve in troop leadership roles, such as Assistant Leader, First Aider, or Troop Camper. When a male adult attends a trip or overnight, proper planning ensures a positive and respectful experience.
Requirements for Male Participation:
Males must have separate sleeping quarters and bathroom facilities from female participants.
Do not count male adults toward girl/adult safety ratios (per Safety Activity Checkpoints).
If a male adult will attend your trip, contact the Camp Director in advance at 843-479-6814 to arrange appropriate accommodations.
Designated Male Lodging:
Male adults will stay in Whispering Pines Shelter House.
Each room sleeps 4 and includes a private bathroom and shower.
Cost: $15 per night.
