Works will be curated and displayed at the Menino Arts Center Galleries and also in a virtual 3D Online Gallery that you can enter, stroll, and view at your own pace.
Exhibit Title: Curry College at the Menino Arts Center
Exhibit Theme: Curry College Seniors, Students, Alumni and Faculty are invited to enter this exhibition
Eligibility: This call is open to Curry College students and alumni who are/have been enrolled in art and design courses, and Curry faculty who teach or support students in art and design.
All Mediums, 2D and 3D

Artists' Reception: Saturday, May 6, 3-5pm

Drop-off and Pick-up: All artwork may be hand-delivered and picked up at the Menino Arts Center, 26 Central Ave, Hyde Park.
Drop-off Dates: Sat, April 8, 10am – 12pm and Mon, April 10, 7 - 9pm
Mailed In Work:
Send shipped work to Sasja Lucas, Curator, 46 Norway Park, Hyde Park, MA. to arrive any time before Wednesday, April 5, 11:59pm 2022.
Please label all artwork with your name, title of the piece, and contact information. You must include a pre-paid return label from USPS, UPS or FEDEX with your shipment.
Please note there are delays using U.S. Post Office. (USPS). Also note, there are size restrictions using USPS. For example: A box 48” L x 36”W x 5” depth(to include packaging) is the MAX that can be mailed. Check https://postcalc.usps.com/ Please use a sturdy box that can be reused for return. Your work will be returned shortly after de-installation provided you have adhered to all instructions for their safe return.
Hang exhibit: Wed, April 12, 9am – 7pm and Thurs, April 13, 9-5pm.

The Menino Arts Center is run by the Hyde Park Art Association. The MAC serves the neighborhood of Hyde Park, Greater Boston and its suburban counterparts. With over 4000 square feet of space, the MAC is home to a large teaching classroom, seven affordable artist studios, three galleries, an auditorium and the organization’s offices. The mission of the HPAA is to support local artists, make cultural opportunities accessible to families, students, and seniors who may not otherwise have the means to participate; enrich community life, serve as a unifying force in the neighborhood; and help create a more vibrant commercial district.
Acceptances:
This show will be curated based on the number of submissions and space available. Acceptance of all your work is not guaranteed.
Exhibition Fee:
Curry College Seniors and Students: no fee
Curry College Alumni: $30 for up to three pieces
Curry College Alumni HPAA Members: $20 for up to three pieces
Curry Faculty: no fee

Size Requirements: Framed 2D work cannot exceed 60in H x 48in W.
3D work cannot exceed 40in H x 20in W. Artists must provide their own pedestals.
Framing and Installation:
Seniors and Current Students: Works on paper or light material need NOT be framed or matted for presentation in the Menino Arts Center gallery. Work should lay flat, and be able to be hung via Command Strips. Matting is suggested. Works with frames and/or plexiglass must be ready to hang. (see below)
Alumni and Faculty:
All work must be framed (except museum wrapped canvas with no side staples) and ready to hang with a wire.
The screw eyes should be placed in the top ¼ section, (NOT 1/3) from the top of the frame. Hanging clip (1 and 1/2 in) and wire must not be visible from the top. Make the wire taught.
No clip-on frames or sawtooth hangers. All mats and frames must be clean and sturdy.
Image Guidelines:
The most important aspect of the Online 3D gallery is that the artwork is ONLY displayed by the jpgs submitted so the quality should be the best it can be, ie photo of artwork can not include any mat or frame and should be cropped to show the artwork squared up (no background or askew) with accurate color of original. Photos of sculpture must have a solid background.
Image Upload Guidelines:
1. Save entries as a jpeg at 1200 pixels on the longest side.
2. Name your jpeg entries: First, Last Name_ Title.jpg
Example: John Brown_The Green Stripe.jpg
3. The Title in jpg MUST match the Title of Entry
Example: The Green Stripe
Please retitle jpgs as needed. Use UPPER and lower case
Label Requirements:
Label with name, title, email and phone number must be securely fixed to the back of the artwork.
Label with name and title must be taped removeable to the front.
Sales: Artwork may be for sale. The HPAA retains 30% of the sale price. Please price work accordingly. If not for sale, enter NFS.
Liabilities and Responsibilities: The Menino Arts Center will not be responsible for loss, theft or damage of any artwork, no matter what the cause. By submitting artwork to this exhibition, each artist agrees to this statement. Artwork is not insured by HPAA-MAC during the exhibition. Adequate insurance is the sole responsibility of the artist.
By submitting entries, the artist must acknowledge the availability of the artwork to be juried into this exhibit, and that the artwork cannot be withdrawn at a later date.
No artwork (real or virtual) may be removed before the close of the exhibition.
Publicity: By entering this exhibition, the artist gives consent that the submitted images can be used by the Menino Arts Center for reproduction in print and on social media, for publicity and educational purposes, with artist credit given.
