We are seeking passionate, qualified, and knowledgeable employees to join our Archery Department at our St. George store. As a member of the Al’s team, you’ll help create a safe, welcoming, and professional shopping experience for every customer. You’ll work closely with customers to share your expertise in archery equipment, as well as firearms and hunting gear, helping them find the right products for their individual needs.
The ideal candidate is confident in archery equipment, bow setup, tuning, and accessories, and has strong knowledge of firearm sales, ammunition, optics, and general hunting gear. They are committed to ensuring full compliance with all federal and state firearm regulations. Responsibilities include assisting customers with product selection, performing archery equipment services, completing required paperwork (including ATF Form 4473), and maintaining a secure, organized department.
In addition to supporting the Archery Department, team members will also assist customers with firearms and hunting products as needed. Knowledge of leading archery brands such as Hoyt, Mathews, Bear Archery, PSE, and Prime Archery is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Assist customers in selecting the right archery, firearm, ammunition, and hunting products based on their needs and skill level.
- Perform archery services, including bow setup, tuning, adjustments, string replacements, and arrow assembly.
- Guide customers on proper bow fit, shooting form, equipment care, and safety practices.
- Process firearm transactions in full compliance with federal and state regulations, including completing ATF Form 4473.
- Maintain knowledge of archery, hunting, and firearm products, trends, and industry best practices.
- Properly fit hunting packs and provide gear guidance as needed.
- Keep the department secure, clean, and organized, including merchandising and stock management.
- Provide accurate pricing and sales information.
- Support team efforts by completing related responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
Required
- Passion for archery, with strong hands-on knowledge of bows and archery equipment, along with firearms, hunting, and the outdoor industry.
- Hands-on experience with archery equipment, including compound and recurve bows, bow tuning, basic repairs, arrow assembly, and shooting technique.
- Knowledge of archery brands including Hoyt, Bear, PSE, Prime, Spot Hogg, Black Gold, Easton, Gold Tip, and others.
- Must be 21 years or older and legally able to own and possess a firearm.
Understanding of firearm regulations and ability to accurately complete required documentation.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to confidently guide and educate customers.
- Strong problem-solving skills and sound decision-making ability.
- Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Previous retail or technical experience is a plus.
