The S-Anon World Service Office (WSO) will register any group designating itself as an S-Anon Family Group, with the following understandings: 1) The group will abide by the Twelve Traditions of S-Anon and, in particular, that group meetings will be open to all who qualify for S-Anon (Tradition Three), and 2) The group will use S-Anon Conference Approved Literature (CAL) as the primary recovery tool and other CAL only as a compliment to S-Anon published literature. By completing this form, the group acknowledges a commitment to these guidelines.

In June 2024, the S-Anon Board of Trustees adopted a policy requiring all groups to publish a generic/anonymous email address to help inquirers, newcomers, or members make direct contact with the group. The WSO will publish any email address that aligns with the S-Anon point of view. For example, the email address may reference S-Anon, the group’s city, group name, or other recovery-related topics, while avoiding the use of member or meeting facility names.
