About Bridge:
Bridge left us too soon at the age of 16 in March 2019. Since then, we have reflected on the precious time we spent together and her remarkable ability to unite those around her. Her name is truly synonymous with her actions. She physically and metaphorically reached out to her friends, family, and community, building bridges between people regardless of their race, religion, beliefs, or physical abilities. Even though she was non-verbal, she had a unique ability to get her point across and form meaningful social connections. Corrine and her family are committed to carrying Bridgey's legacy forward — building on her compassion and unwavering sense of inclusion to create a more connected and accepting world. To honor her memory, we have created the four pillars of our Bridge, which form the foundation of the Sullivan Sister Scholarship.
Applicants should demonstrate the following:
1) Commitment to improving the quality of life for individuals living with rare or undiagnosed medical conditions. 2) A capacity for leadership. 3) Academic excellence and a clear reason for choice of coursework. 4) Active participation and volunteer service with Angel’s Hands Foundation, contributing to its events and initiatives.
1) Please explain why you are applying for the Sullivan Sister Scholarship and how you meet the four main criteria outlined above. (400–500 words)
2) How do you plan to continue building bridges during and after your academic studies? (200–500 words)
3) If you are a previous Sullivan Sister Scholarship recipient, how has it influenced your educational journey and personal growth? (100+ words)
4) What does the Angel Hands Foundation mean to you? (100+ words)
5*) As a 100% volunteer-run organization, AHF continues to grow, increasing the need for more volunteers and fundraising support. Do you have any suggestions for enhancing family events, increasing volunteer participation, expanding fundraising efforts, or encouraging sibling involvement? (Optional — this will not affect scholarship evaluation.)
