TRIO Talent Search will be visiting the Northwest Missouri State University on Wednesday, September 16, 2026. All high school students (grades 9-12) are invited to attend with priority going to upperclassmen (grades 11-12). Students who have missing work, behavioral incidents, or bad grades may not be selected to participate. We will meet at the following locations to pick-up and drop-off students:

Students and parents need to complete and sign the Field Trip Form on the back side of this document. Incomplete applications will not be accepted. Spots are limited, so sign up ASAP! You can turn in to your TS advisor, scan and email the completed form to the email below, or scan the QR code below to sign up online. You can also take a clear picture of the permission form on your phone and email it to ets@swcciowa.edu. Once you turn in your permission form and we receive approval from your school, you will receive a confirmation postcard in the mail, if you do not receive a confirmation postcard that means we did not receive your permission form. PRIORITY WILL GO TO 11^TH & 12^TH GRADE STUDENTS.

Free trip! Students participating in the trip will tour the campus, tour the dorms, learn about the admissions process and have lunch in an on-campus dining center. We will board the bus to leave campus at approximately 1:30 pm. If we are running off-schedule, cellular phones will be available for students to notify their parents of updated arrival/return times.

School rules apply to this trip. Students should wear comfortable clothing, walking shoes and a coat or jacket. The Northwest Missouri State University is a walking campus and we will be outside the majority of the day. No short shorts, short skirts, baggy pants, baggy jeans or tank tops will be allowed. Absolutely no foul or derogatory language will be allowed at any time. Students will not be allowed to smoke. Failure to comply with any of these rules will result in dismissal from the trip and parents will be contacted to pick up the student from our location. Questions regarding this trip should be directed to your TS Advisor or the TS office. We look forward to your participation in this unique opportunity.
