Tour the 10 acre potential building site
    Building Our Future Beyond Ourselves
  • The Building Our Future Beyond Ourselves Team is again offering tours of the 10-acre potential building site as a catalyst to help participants imagine a new location, ask questions, and learn more about how this site, or other sites, may meet the needs and hopes for the future of our church.

Volunteers have cleared brush, trees and branches to create paths through the site. The terrain, however, has areas that are moderately challenging, requiring sturdy footwear and protective clothing, and perhaps a walking stick. Photos and an aerial video tour are available for remote viewing as well.

Tour participants are required to pre-register and sign the liability waiver below.  Access to the property is only permitted by registering and attending the designated tours.

We are excited to have this time together to imagine and plan for future generations of First UU Church!

Use this form to indicate your tour preference and availability.  A member of BOFBO will contact you to make final arrangements.

    Liability Waiver

I know that walking on a large undeveloped field with uneven and unpaved paths is a potentially hazardous activity, which could cause injury or death. I will only participate in the UU 10 Acre Lot Exploration Event if I am medically able and properly attired, and by my signature, I certify that I am medically able, in good health, and properly attired.

    • I agree to stay on designated paths and abide by all rules associated with the UU 10 Acre Lot Exploration Event.
    • I assume all risks associated with participation, which may include but not limited to, falls, insect bites, physical contact with wildlife, other participants and/or volunteers, including the potential of the contraction of a communicable disease resulting from contact with other participants and volunteers.
    • I assume all risks including: the effects of weather; high heat and/or humidity; freezing temperatures; contact with insects and/or wildlife; and effects of the terrain.

Having read this waiver and knowing these facts I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the property owners, First Unitarian Universalist Church of Rochester, and the City of Rochester MN from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this event, even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons or organizations named in this waiver.

I grant permission to First Unitarian Universalist Church of Rochester to use photographs, motion pictures, recordings, or any other record of this event for any legitimate purposes.
