      Knowledge of who you are including your preferences, motivations and changes to these. The recognition of the strengths, desires and weaknesses that impact your thought processes and behaviors. Being self aware means that you are engaging in opportunities to reflect on your actions and the internal drivers connected to them, and then making behavior changes in response. Behaviors that fall under self awareness include:

      Self regulation is not only the knowledge of one's emotions and feelings, but also the ability to use this knowledge to regulate associated behavioral patterns, both internally and externally, through the acknowledgment and acceptance of these emotions. Coaching focuses on teaching and supporting the application of regulation practices such as discipline, organization, planning, reframing, etc. to improve coping, non-reactive responding, and more.       Responsible and responsive decision making focuses on knowledge of the factors that impact, support, or detract from effective decision-making and the extent to which the individual accepts responsibility for these decisions. Coaching focuses on teaching and supporting the process, action of, and managing the consequences of decisions made. In addition, it supports the ability to use this knowledge to manage emotions in the decision-making process during times of crisis and increased risk. Behaviors that fall under this category include:
