APPLICATION CRITERIA
Please read the following guidelines carefully before completing this application form. If you have any questions regarding your eligibility/circumstances before completing an application – please call us on 01234 831888.

Help may be needed personally, or for immediate family: including spouses/partners, parents, children or grandchildren (up to the age of 18), or other dependents.
Financial assistance is typically provided to those who:

- suffer mental health problems preventing them from working*
- are homeless
- become carers for elderly relatives, children, spouses/partners or other dependents
- have suffered a bereavement which has adversely affected their financial circumstances
- are without sufficient income to meet essential basic needs
We do not normally provide assistance towards:
- applicants with savings, or account balances that consistently remain in credit (e.g. without going overdrawn);
- those with income higher than their essential expenditure [your bank statements will be used to evaluate your non-essential spending as part of the application process. Examples of non-essential expenditure might include (but are not limited to): online gambling, regular eating out/take-aways, excessive spending on clothes & items deemed non-essential];
- any business-related expenditure/costs [these cannot be taken into consideration];

PLEASE SEND THE ABOVE AS EMAIL ATTACHMENTS. WE ARE UNABLE TO ACCEPT MULTIPLE SCREENSHOTS FROM APPLICANTS.
PLEASE NOTE: The Hair & Beauty Charity’s decision in regards to each confidential application is final and no further correspondence will be entered into. This does not preclude an applicant from applying again should their circumstances change.
