2024 Berkeley County Citizen of the Year Award Nominations
The Martinsburg-Berkeley County Chamber of Commerce and The Journal are seeking nominations for the 2024 Berkeley County Citizen of the Year. It is suggested that the following criteria be considered when nominating a candidate. The criteria will be used as a guide in the selection of all new recipients.
AWARD CRITERIA
The candidate has lived in Berkeley County for at least 10 years.
The candidate’s contribution to Berkeley County should be over and above his or her professional duties.
The candidate should be of such stature as to keep the award prestigious and a compliment to Berkeley County.
The importance of at least one contribution must be considerable and the service rendered be varied.
There is no requirement to select a recipient each year unless the above criteria are met.
Nominations must include a resume of service that should be gathered and presented without the candidate’s knowledge, as the award recipient is not disclosed until the presentation at the Chamber’s Annual Dinner on November 7, 2024.
