  • Associate Director of Athletics

    Salaried 12-month position with annual contract renewal

    Salary beginning at $30,000


    Position:  The Associate Director of Athletics (ADA) will report to and aid the Head of School in developing the school’s athletic program to promote wellness, character development and leadership skills in all students. The Associate Director of Athletics will be able to build and improve the functions within his/her areas of responsibility.


    Duties And Responsibilities:


    The Associate Director of Athletics will be directly responsible for the following duties:

    • Govern the overall athletic program according to the philosophy and principles outlined in the CHA Athletic Handbook
    • Coordinate seasonal athletic teams and schedules including appointing coaches, procuring referees, identifying potential student-athletes, arranging senior nights and sports banquets, and transportation
    • Ensure compliance with all federal, divisional and conference athletics regulations
      Participate in VACA conference including meeting attendance, roster submissions, AD coordination with district schools
    • Collaborate with public relations and the media on publicity and reporting of athletic events and results
    • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned

     

    Assisting school administrators in:


    Implementing the 5-year Strategic Plan      

     

    Qualifications:

    • Professing Christian, active member of a local church, clean background check
    • BA (required)
    • 1-2 years teaching experience preferred
    • Demonstrated knowledge and passion for sports 
    • Demonstrated excellence in organizational, problem solving, multi-tasking, project management, and communication skills
    • Commitment to Christian education at CHA

     
    Other Skills And Abilities:

    • Availability for frequent nights and weekend work and in-season travel
    • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in written and oral form
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Google Apps, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and Mailchimp
    • Demonstrated servant leadership competency
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Strong work ethic and commitment to go above and beyond required duties and responsibilities
    • Ability to communicate well and to apply servant leadership skills within a shared decision-making model

    I authorize references and my former employers to disclose to the school any and all employment records, performance reviews, letters, reports, and other information related to my life and employment, without giving me prior notice of such disclosure. In addition, I hereby release the school, my former employers, references, and all other parties from any and all claims, demands, or liabilities arising out of or in any way related to such investigation or disclosure. I waive the right to ever personally view any references given to the school.

    Since I will be working with children, I understand that I must submit to a fingerprint check by the FBI and possibly other federal and state authorities. I agree to fully cooperate in providing and recording as many sets of my fingerprints as are necessary for such and investigation. I authorize the school to conduct a criminal records check. I understand and agree that any offer of employment that I may receive from the school is conditioned upon the receipt of background information, including criminal background information. The school may refuse employment or terminate conditional employment if the school deems any background information unfavorable or that it could reflect adversely on the school or on me as a Christian role model.
