Hearts Need Art's Board is an exciting and engaged working board. Board members are required to participate in at least 10 of the 12 conference calls per year. These are usually the 1st Sunday of the month and on Zoom but may be in person. Communication between meetings is also important and mandatory. Board members are expected to be timely and present at every meeting with a maximum of two absences from board meetings. Between work within and outside of meetings, hours of commitment would probably vary between 3-5 hours per month. Board members are also encouraged to participate in fundraising and development activities, and contribute a minimum $1,000 donation to Hearts Need Art annually. Board members are expected to commit to the role for a minimum of two years.
