House Rules & Regulations
WOW Recovery Inc. is a faith-based program. We talk about Jesus, read the bible, and pray in our community. We DO NOT allow crystals or burning of sage on the premises at any time.
1. Zero Tolerance Policy Concerning Use of Drugs and Alcohol – While living at WOW Recovery Inc., the Resident is to remain clean and sober at all times and shall refrain from the use of alcohol, illegal drugs, or prescription drugs. Drug Paraphernalia and off-label use, dosing, or administration of prescribed drugs constitute a violation of this rule.
Any violation of this rule will immediately terminate the Resident’s tenancy.
2. Resident agrees that, at the request of WOW Recovery Inc., she shall be subject to a drug test, Breathalyzer test, and room search upon move-in and randomly thereafter. Any violation of this rule will immediately terminate the Resident’s tenancy. There is a 1-hour time limit to produce a urine sample. Note: Resident agrees not to consume food with poppy seeds.
3. All medications to be taken by the Resident (prescription and non-prescription) must be pre-approved by WOW Recovery Inc. Any violation of this rule will immediately terminate the Resident’s tenancy.
4. The first thirty (30) days of residency at WOW Recovery Inc. is a probationary and orientation period. During that initial 30-day period, Resident shall be required to:
- Join a Home Group and be active in that Home Group.
- Obtain a qualified sponsor and be actively working the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous out of the Big Book with that Qualified Sponsor.
- Secure employment of at least 35-40 hours (maximum of 50 hours), be a full-time student, or be active in at least 20 hours of ongoing volunteer work.
- Abide by a 11:00 p.m. curfew each night
- The Resident’s progress will be evaluated every 30 days to determine if continued residency is appropriate.
5. Fees. In connection with the Resident’s application to live and reside at WOW Recovery Inc., a $350.00 non-refundable deposit shall be charged for the sober living program due within the first 30 days of residency. Resident’s total payment of $950.00 or $1,000.00 entitles Resident to live at WOW Recovery Inc. and Participate in all aspects of its sober living program. Resident shall be required to pay $600.00 per month (double), $650.00 per month for a double room with a restroom attached, or $700 for single rooms (these rooms are offered by the director only) to the Director, Nancy Young, as her proportionate share of the rent. All rent is due on the 1st of each month. If you fail to make payment by this date, you will be charged a $50 late fee when rent is paid. The Resident’s rental obligation amount may be increased or decreased by WOW Recovery Inc. upon (30) days advance notice. Resident’s failure to pay said rental obligation within a reasonable period of 3 days may result in termination of Resident’s tenancy.
6. The Resident is required to attend a minimum of four 12-step Recovery Meetings per week (AA/NA/CA, etc.) for the first 30 days of tenancy and a minimum of three 12-step Recovery Meetings per week (AA/NA/CA, etc.) for the period thereafter. One of these meetings will be her Home Group. Two meetings attended on the same day count as one meeting to avoid residents not planning ahead and overloading meetings at week’s end. ONLY one Zoom meeting per week counts towards weekly meetings.
7. Unless scheduled to work at the time, each Resident must attend the weekly in-house AA meeting at 7 pm on Wednesday.
8. Each Resident will attend the weekly House Meeting at 7 pm on Sundays.
9. The resident will attend weekly case management and other required outpatient programming.
10. Each Resident is required to do a scheduled chore shift each week as assigned (VIP). The Resident must be up and have her bed made by 9 am and maintain a reasonable level of cleanliness around the house as required by the managers.
11. Resident should not accrue more than two written warnings during her stay. Violation (#3) will terminate the Tenant’s residency.
12. Unless married or engaged, the resident must agree not to have any one-on-one contact with past partners (group settings are okay) for the duration of the tenancy. No dating or new romantic relationships are to be established. Affiliations with online dating sites are prohibited as well. (Tinder, Plenty of Fish, etc.) While a resident of WOW Recovery Inc. The focus is to work on oneself to create healthy partnerships in the future.
13. All visitors must be approved by a manager and are restricted to the living or dining room of either house. Children (minors) must be approved to visit residents. Be respectful of other residents’ privacy.
14. No smoking in the house. Smokeless tobacco is allowed inside as long as courteous habits are followed.
15. Be respectful of the house and furnishings. No hanging pictures on the walls, painting, etc.
16. Disruptive behavior by the resident will not be tolerated, and the resident’s tenancy will be immediately terminated.
Disruptive behavior includes, and is not limited to, the following:
- Physical or verbal abuse/violence.
- Destruction of property
- Disrespect to other house members
- Lying, dishonesty, or theft
**This qualifies for inside our residence and outside in the community**
Resident will be held legally and financially responsible for damage to persons and property.
17. If any illegal behavior is exhibited or new charges are brought about while a resident, your residency will be terminated effective immediately.
18. Consistent with WOW Recovery Inc. financial policy, Resident must give thirty (30) days written notice before moving out.
19. Consistent with WOW Recovery Inc. financial policy, the Resident is not entitled to any refund if her behavior (especially concerning provisions outlined in the Residential Living Agreement) causes her discharge.
ALL ROOMS ARE SHARED BETWEEN TWO WOMEN. THEREFORE, CLOTHING AND BELONGINGS ALLOWED MUST FIT INSIDE 5 DRESSER DRAWERS AND HALF THE CLOSET SPACE. THERE WILL BE NO OTHER CLUTTER OR STORAGE OF THINGS IN ROOMS. THE ROOMS MUST LOOK CLEAN AND THE CLOSET EASILY ACCESSIBLE AT ALL TIMES. IF YOU HAVE EXCESS OF BELONGINGS DO NOT BRING THEM WITH YOU... THERE IS NO STORAGE AVAILABLE!
