Functional Currency

Functional currency refers to the main currency that you would like to be used in the financial statements, accounting software reporting and all declarations to the Singapore Regulator (ACRA) and Tax Office (IRAS). In Singapore, the functional currency must be the currency that the company will trade in the most frequently or in which the company received most of its funding. Functional currency can be changed later, but it comes at a cost as it is a tedious process, so please choose your preferred functional currency now wisely!
