  • One-Time Event Application

    If you are interested in hosting a One-Time Event with the North Texas Food Bank, please review our criteria, then complete the One-Time Event Application on the next page. Please note: This application is a request, and its submission does not guarantee a One-Time Event will be scheduled. We appreciate your support of our mission and encourage you to explore the many other opportunities to help us in the fight against hunger.
  • Child Programs Basic Criteria

    • In order to provide adequate time for planning, the Host Site Contact must submit requests at least 3 weeks prior to the event.
    • The Host Site Contact will have to complete and submit required paperwork in a timely manner.
    • The event must be located within NTFB’s 12-county service area. (Counties served: Dallas, Collin, Delta, Ellis, Fannin, Grayson, Hopkins, Hunt, Kaufman, Lamar, Navarro, and Rockwall.)
    • Food provided by NTFB for the event cannot be stored on site after the event, be sold, used for community meals, or used to raise money.
    • Food not provided by NTFB may only be distributed at the same event if the NTFB food is distributed from a separate, designated space, according to our Food Bank guidelines.

  • Child Programs Distribution of Food Guidelines:

    • Required to be open to the community at-large and not limited to a specific group or affiliation of people.*
    • Unless distributing USDA product, does not require identification or proof or address, income, or eligibility. Agrees that all information given is self-declared.
    • Distribution is based on need, emergency, or illness.
    • Does not require individuals to exchange money or services for food.
    • Does not exclude individuals from assistance based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity (including gender expression), sexual orientation, disability, age, marital status, familial/ parental status, income derived from a public assistance program, political beliefs, reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity.
    • Does not require attendance at any religious or political meetings before receiving assistance.

    *Applys to distributions under the School Pantry Progam, not the Food4Kids backpack program.

  • Child Programs Host Site Contact Responsibilities

    • Required to be on site for the entire duration of the distribution.
    • Responsible for ensuring the designated number of volunteers are recruited prior to the event. Volunteers will be required to be able to perform multiple mental and physical tasks, not limited to: lifting, carrying and distributing products up to 35 lbs, standing for long periods of time, and monitoring their surroundings for safety.
    • Responsible for ensuring all food distribution duties are completed by volunteers or host site staff. Host Site Contact agrees to follow all directives from NTFB staff prior to the event.
    • Responsible for contacting the local police department to determine if law enforcement will be required for traffic support.
    • Responsible for providing bottled water and bathroom facilities for volunteers and staff.

    • The Host Site Contact will have to complete and submit required paperwork in a timely manner.

    • Responsible for ensuring all food distribution duties are completed by volunteers or host site staff. NTFB staff will provide oversite and contribute in an advisory role. Host Site Contact agrees to follow all directives from NTFB staff prior to and during the event.
    • Responsible for contacting the local police department to determine if law enforcement will be required for traffic support.
    • Responsible for providing bottled water and bathroom facilities for volunteers and staff.

  • *Please Note: Weekend requests have a high likelyhood of being declined as the North Texas Food Bank is closed on Sundays and has limited capacity on Saturdays.
