About the Tour:
- Available for all groups of all ages.
- Capacity: 21-50 individuals total (Groups of 40-50 may be split into two groups touring simultaneously).
- Length: 1 hour and 15 minutes
- Offered by advanced reservation only.
- We are unable to accommodate groups larger than 50 for this type of tour.
There are two available time slots for a Large Group Tour: 12:15pm and 2:15pm. Upon booking, you will be given a 2 hour window to arrive and begin your tour. This window is not the length of the tour itself, simply your arrival window. Once booked, you will be contacted by a member of our staff to confirm the details of your visit.
Group Tour Policies:
- Bookings are required for all groups and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. A minimum 25% deposit is required no later than 2 weeks prior to your tour date to finalize confirmation. Face coverings are options for all guests.
- The number of groups available each day is limited, so plaese be prepared to make your request early and include additional dates. Group tours are booked no later than 3 weeks in advance to ensure coordination and payment for your tour.
- Payment in full is required prior to the beginning of the tour on the date of your arrival. If your final numbers have changed, we can adjust the final balance accordingly, as long as the group remains in the appropriate numbers.
Additional Information about the Tour:
Guided Group Tours include the Antioch Baptist Church, Wall of Honor, Slave Cabins, Detached Kitchen, and Big House. Others locations on site, such as the Field of Angels and 1811 German Coast Uprising Memorials, are not included on the tour, but are accessible at the conclusion of your tour. Please plan your time, including travel, accordingly.
Whitney Plantation is a largely outdoor site—weather, insects, outdoor smells, plants, and wild animals may be encountered at any given time. Wear comfortable clothing, closed-toed walking shoes, and dress for the weather.
Whitney Plantation is a site for remembrance. Attendees of guided tours are expected to treat Whitney staff and site with respect, including the buildings, land, and restrooms.
