HALL OF FAME – SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE APPLICATION

STAR OF TOMORROW $2,500 SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

To recognize star qualities in a high school or college student who competes in the sport of bowling. Star qualities include distinguished certified bowling performances on state, local, national, international or Team USA levels; academic achievement and leadership. Award winners will receive a $2,500 scholarship. This award can only be won once. APPLICATIONS DUE: JANUARY 15. Email info@calusbc.com or call (562) 449-4527 with any questions. CALUSBC.com
ELIGIBILITY. The applicant shall be:
1. A current California USBC Association youth member.
2. A High School graduating SENIOR who has applied to an accredited University, Junior College or Vocational Institution.
3. A current season bowler with a minimum average of 185 girls/200 boys and an outstanding record of bowling achievements in the past and current seasons.
4. Recorded as having a minimum of 3.0 GPA* or equivalent.
NOMINATION PROCEDURE. The applicant must:
1. Complete this official application form.
2. Include bowler’s profile of averages and achievements from BOWL.com
3. Include at least THREE letters of recommendation.
4. Include current official high school transcripts for the last three years*.
5. Attach an essay of at least 100 words stating interests, hobbies, and future goals.
6. Detail involvement with the local and/or state USBC or other areas of bowling, as well as any services rendered to their community.
7. Attach any additional documentation of any awards, honors, or community service, (i.e. scouting, school or community activities).
