Criteria for an Applicant for Club Membership (New Members)

Prerequisites for Membership

In order to become a Member an Organisation must submit an application, in which the Member undertakes to:
1. align itself with the obligations under the Constitution, the WKF Governing Documents, and the Policies;
2. pay the fees and subscriptions, determined to apply to the Organisation;
3. ensure that relevant categories of persons associated with the Organisation as determined by the Board are registered with the Company as Individual Members; and
4. ensure that all the Organisation’s Karate Instructors are AKF accredited. Until such time as an applicant complies with the prerequisites, the applicant will be considered to be a Provisional Member.
Member Organisations

Each Member Organisation must:
1. have objects that align with those of the Company;
2. comply with the Policies of the Company and the WKF Governing Documents;
3. act in good faith to uphold the standards, quality and reputation of the
  Company and Karate;
4. at all times promote mutual trust and confidence between it, the Company and Members and work cooperatively with each other in pursuit of the Objects;
5. maintain a database of all officials and members registered with it in accordance with the policies and provide a copy to the Company upon request from time to time as may be required by the Company;
6. not do or permit to be done any act or thing which might adversely affect or derogate from the standards, quality and reputation of Karate and its
  maintenance and development;
7. Identify their organisation State Head of Style; and
8. advise the Company as soon as practicable of any serious administrative,
  operational or financial difficulties.
Each Member Organisation must ensure its constituent documents conform with this Constitution and the Policies, subject to any inconsistency with legislation applicable to that Organisation.

Application Procedure

An applicant for Membership will be required to demonstrate to the satisfaction of the Board that it meets the applicable criteria for Membership.

Please attach the following:
- Current WWCC of all instructors (required with application)
- Current AKF Certification of all instructors (required with six months of application)
- Letter of recommendation from two existing AKF members (required with application) [Please provide Names and email addresses and the AKF will write to them requesting support]
Additional Procedure - AKF to complete
- Consideration from State Association (AKF to complete)
Fees due to accompany the application (one-off application fee)
- Member Organisation Application fee: $330 (incl GST)
