Below is a more expanded explanantion of the Campaign Options:
PAPER CAMPAIGN
After opening MJW Paper for submissions from around the world in 2020, we quickly recognised a need for such a publicaiton, that offers a snapshot of the global contemporary jewellery scene on a yearly basis. Offering pages of the Paper as exhibition spaces demonstrated a growing need for diversity in representation, not only for those who can physically show work in Munich. To continue this new fabulous MJW tradition, we keep the pages of our official printed MJW Paper open to everyone.
Once again, we invite Artists, Curators, Collectives, Academies, Galleries and Cultural Institutions across the globe to contribute to our beautiful printed publication designed and published by Current Obsession and delivered directly to the doorsteps of visitors who aren’t able to travel to Munich, or would like to enjoy a tangible copy of the Week at home.
We invite our community to create exhibitions and photoshoots on the pages of the MJW Paper, to tell the stories behind their work in the way that fits them, just as they would in a physical space in Munich. Participants are encouraged to stage exhibition environments, create beautiful images, render digital jewels, write fictional stories and more!
This option will ensure a substantial space inside CO Paper: 1 full A2 spread (two A3 pages). Submitted concepts must feature one or several artists united by a certain theme. We encourage you to experiment, to think beautiful photography, to stage exhibition environments, to render digital jewels, and write fictional stories, etc.*
Total cost of administration and production of the Paper Campaign is €350 excl. VAT
* Page layout suggestions from participants are welcome, however Current Obsession reserves the right for the final layout decisions for the purposes of cohesion and overall artistic direction.
If, as a gallery, a brand, or other commercial institution, you would like to submit a pre-designed or a custom page, it will be considered an Advertorial, and a different fee will apply (email info@munichjewelleryweek.com with inquiries).
** With each Paper Campaign submission we offer one free copy of MJW Paper. If you would like to receive more than one copy, please email us at info@munichjewelleryweek.com and we will prepare a bulk shipment at a discount.
***There is a limited amount of submissions available and spots will be assigned on a first come first served basis, in this case the charges will be reimbursed.
This sumbission includes the following: communication of all events via the munichjewelleryweek.com website, and press coverage of the Munich Jewellery Week.
POSTER CAMPAIGN
Individual jewellery artists are invited to submit an image of one piece of jewellery to be featured in a visual editorial by CO. This option ensures that your piece will be featured both in print (shipped together with MJW Paper) and on MJW website.
The editorial will include artist's name, short bio, artist statement and contact information (based on the information you submit in the form below).
Posters will be created in collaboration with visual artists or illustrators of our choice, to place jewellery in visually stunning experimental environments. The goal of this project is to create an original interdisciplinary artwork.
For the Poster Campaign you can submit images of ONE piece of jewellery. Images need to be shot in high resolution (a minimum of 1200-628 pixels), on white, light or transparent background.
The piece will most likely be cut out and placed in an environment, therefore the exact dimensions of the image itself are up to you, as long as the piece looks sharp, well-lit, and shot from a direct angle, preferably front view (you could also include variations, side view, top view or a low-angle view).
Total cost of administration and production of the Poster Campaign is €150 excl. VAT
*There is a limited amount of submissions available and spots will be assigned on a first come first served basis, in this case the charges will be reimbursed.

LOCAL CAMPAIGN
We will support physical events in Munich through our website www.munichjewelleryweek.com, MJW Paper and social media. In 2023, due to environmental and other concerns, we plan to focus on developing and improving our digital map on the website and not printing a physcial one. We will continue making numbered street signs, posters, and other brand merchandise to support the visibility of MJW in the city of Munich. This option is available to those participants who plan a physical event in Munich and would like to receive a numbered street sign and a spot on our digital MJW Map.
Total cost of administration and production of the Local Campaign is €250 excl. VAT
* This campaign might be cancelled if travel restrictions to Germany are enforced and public events such as MJW are cancelled. In this case partial charges will be reimbursed.
** Traditionally, we provide an option to artists who are not able to afford a payed submission. This option is financed by the community and offers a pin on the MJW digital map with a title, name of the artist, opening date and address. No images, special events, daily opening times, additional texts, and no street sign will be provided. If you would like to apply for that option, please email us at info@munichjewelleryweek.com
All options include pitches for press coverage for Munich Jewellery Week.
