  • Thank you for enquiring about working for Flash Junk and Waste Removal. Here is a bit about what we do.

We are a small business who provide junk and garbage removal services to the Greater Vancouver area.

All our workers are taken on as SELF-EMPLOYED CONTRACTORS. This means that there are no fixed hours and likewise you are not obliged to take any shifts. We do ask that once you have committed to a shift you don't cancel at the last minute. Therefore its always best to double check your availability before saying yes to a shift.

Here are some things we take very seriously:

    RELIABILITY...

People bailing at the last minute or showing up an hour late can be very costly for us as we rely heavily on our reputation for being reliable and punctual.

    ATTITUDE...

Please be prepared to show up well presented and with a positive attitude.

    CUSTOMER SERVICE...

When you meet the customer be sure to introduce yourself so they know the names of all the ENTHUSIASTIC and SMILEY people that are collecting their junk and garbage.

If a customer is asking for anything unsafe or unreasonable call us and let us deal with it. There is never a time where it is appropriate for the movers to argue with a customer, but we are happy to do this for you as we know exactly what was agreed with the customer prior to the job starting.

    SAFETY...

This is our most important value and it applies to both you and the customers property.

Your safety... Always take care when carrying large or heavy objects. If you are less than 100% sure that you can carry something safely to the truck without injuring yourself then DON'T. Always ask for a hand (you dont get paid anymore for being a hero). Once again CALL US if the customer asks you to lift or do something unsafe.

The customers property... No matter how old and useless something might look if it belongs to the customer then it should be handled with care. Sometimes wrapping things up properly or waiting for your co-worker to assist you with something will seem counter productive. But the customers appreciate it when they know the people they've hired are handling their belongings with care. There is nothing more frustrating than doing solid job all day then getting a bad review or complaint because we scratched a customer's wall or cabinet.

Things you may want to know:

Rates of pay? Starting rate of $22.50 per hour (minimum of 2 hours).

In order to help us to find out if you are a good fit for the role. Please could you fill in the below questionnaire. Please answer all questions honestly. None of the questions on here are "deal breakers" if we like you as a person then there is a workaround for any problems.

No matter what problems you are having in your personal life, it is important that you turn up with a smile and an enthusiastic attitude when meeting the customer. You can vent about your personal life to the rest of the team once we have left the customer satisfied with our service.

    APPEARANCE...

We all have a heavy night from time to time and we all have our favourite outfit that we wear in front of the TV while were smoking a fat one. When we turn up for work its important to look (and smell) the part. Have a shower and brush your teeth before work, wear clothes that fit you and don't show up stoned, tipsy or smelling like BC bud.
