  • The Greater Dayton Apartment Association is a trade organization for companies that own and manage apartment communities and companies that provide products or services to the multi-family industry. Membership in the GDAA affiliates you with the National Apartment Association (NAA) and the Ohio Apartment Association (OAA Through these affiliations, we seek to protect your interests on a national, state, and local level. As a united voice of apartment owners, managers, and suppliers, we exert maximum effort toward our common purpose. Through your affiliation with us, you have the opportunity to enjoy the many benefits we offer. We represent over 42,000 apartment units under the ownership and management of over 285 apartment communities.

  • The GDAA promotes industry professionalism through programs designed for all multi-family industry personnel and Supplier Partners. We provide abundant opportunities for professional growth and development through education and hands-on training. We offer national credential programs: Certified Apartment Leasing Professional (CALP), Certified Apartment Manager (CAM), Certificate for Apartment Maintenance Technician (CAMT In addition, we offer EPA608 Certification, hands-on Maintenance workshops, and training opportunities, fair housing, leasing, marketing, personal development, management, and more.

  • GDAA RENT FOUNDATION

  • The GDAA Rent Foundation is a private, non-profit, 501(c)3 charitable organization. The Foundation provides rental assistance to member residents that are unable to pay their rent due to illness, family tragedy, or unfortunate circumstances, in some cases preventing homelessness. Funding comes only from donations. The GDAA Rent Foundation Committee Review Board meets at the end of each month to select one applicant to assist with rent.

  • The GDAA website has a Member Compass that allows Members to register for classes or events, check on their membership status, look at their invoices and payment status, connect with others. and much, much more. The goal is to help you, your community and your company get more out of your membership with GDAA. We want you to have the information you need when you need it!

    All GDAA members are listed in the online Membership Directory on our website. Our Primary members utilize this when in search of a particular product or service. In addition to the online directory at www.gdaa.org, we mail out a printed directory each year.

  • GDAA CODE OF ETHICS

  • 1. Promote, employ and maintain a high standard of integrity in the establishment of rental rates and performances of all other rental obligations and services in the operation of our apartment communities in order that the public is better serviced.

    2. Maintain and operate our apartment communities in accordance with fair and honorable standards of competition, ever mindful of the purposes of the GDAA and in compliance with the By-Laws thereof.

    3. Strive to continually promote the education and fraternity of the GDAA along with the progress and dignity of the apartment industry.

    4. Seek to provide better values, so that an even greater share of the public may enjoy the many benefits of apartment living.

    5. Establish high ethical standards of conduct among apartment rental agencies, suppliers. and others doing business with the apartment industry.

    6. Endeavor to expose all schemes designed to mislead or defraud the apartment residing public and to aid the exposure of those responsible for such practices.

    7. Refrain from attempting to obtain apartment residents. through advertising or other means deceptive, misleading or fraudulent statements, misrepresentations, or the use of implications, unwarranted by the fact or reasonable probability.

    8. Keep informed of all laws and regulations regarding equal opportunity in the leasing and renting of apartments and assist in keeping other members informed of all existing conditions and situations in the community with respect to equal opportunity in the leasing and renting of apartments. Refrain from discouraging persons seeking assistance in leasing or renting apartments on the basis of sex, race, color, religion, familial status, handicap, or national origin and serve all people equally in the renting or leasing of apartments.

    9.Abide by the Greater Dayton Apartment Association's Code of Ethics, Code of Regulations, and By-Laws.

  • A Primary Member will pay for all units owned and/or managed within the geographic jurisdiction held by the Association through the National Apartment Association charter. GDAA counties include Allen, Auglaize, Clark, Darke, Greene, Hardin, Logan, Mercer, Miami, Montgomery, Preble, and Shelby. The GDAA accepts all major credit cards. For up to date due amounts and for credit card transactions please call the GDAA office at (937) 293-1170.

    GDAA is on a January - December billing cycle. All memberships expire on December 31st, regardless of when you join. You will be invoiced upfront for a full year and prorated during the second year (based on the date that you join The second-year invoice will be due on or before January 31 of the following year (regardless of when you join For the renewal in January, your invoice will be prorated based on the join date of the first year of membership.

    In submitting this application, I/we agree to abide by the Code of Ethics, Regulations, and Bylaws (located at www.gdaa.org) of the Greater Dayton Apartment Association. In the event of termination of membership in this association, I/we agree to discontinue immediately the use of its logo in any form. This payment represents dues in the Greater Dayton Apartment Association for a twelve- month period. Membership is subject to approval by the Membership Committee, Board of Directors, and General Membership upon posting on the GDAA website.
