MARINE REACH VANUATU - FAMILY CARE CENTRE

Marine Reach Vanuatu (MRV) is a Christian, interdenominational and international organisation part of Youth With A Mission (YWAM) movement. The mission of Marine Reach Vanuatu is to disciple the nation of Vanuatu to know God and walk in his ways.

Marine Reach Vanuatu established the Family Care Centre (FCC) on the island of Efate, Vanuatu's main island, in 2016. The FCC is a missions center that provides medical and dental care, community development programs, and YWAM courses including the Discipleship Training School (DTS). The FCC includes housing for staff, students and volunteers, a classroom for training and equipping students, and a clinic for the community.

The Disciple Training School (DTS) is a 6 month missionary training school that is the starting point for all YWAM missionaries. The focus of DTS is to help you know God more deeply, live like Jesus, and learn how to use your gifts to build God's kingdom. The first 12-weeks of the school are lectures designed to give you a strong foundation in knowing God. The second phase of the school is an 8-week outreach to make God known. The last 3-weeks of the school are focused on preparing you to make the next step into missions, whether that is here in Vanuatu or abroad.

Thank you for applying to be a student with us here at the Family Care Centre (FCC). We here at the FCC are excited that you are applying. As this course is designed to train Christians, a general entry requirement is a genuine commitment to Jesus Christ and the Christian faith.

- Husbands and wives wishing to apply must complete separate applications.
- Any applicant who is under 18 years of age must have a parent or legal guardian fill out the declarations. You must be at least 18 at the commencement of this course.

Marine Reach Vanuatu requires all students to have medical insurance that covers medical expenses and medical evacuation for the duration of their time volunteering with Marine Reach Vanuatu.

We recommend Talent Trust Consultants - www.talent-trust.com as a trusted medical insurance provider. TTC also offers group discounts so be sure to mention that you are with Marine Reach (YWAM). We require a copy of your Insurance Policy Certificate be emailed to us prior to your arrival in Vanuatu.

Consent for Burial
Marine Reach Vanuatu does everything possible to protect volunteer staff and students on the field. Although death is extremely rare, it nevertheless needs to be considered. Marine Reach Vanuatu strongly encourages you to select a insurance plan that covers transport and burial costs. We do recommend burial on the field, as decay can start very quickly and as transport of the body from the overseas location can be very costly.

In order to be shipped, some laws require a special coffin and the coffin must be accompanied by someone on the return journey. In case of death, Marine Reach Vanuatu cannot commit to cover the costs of shipping the body to another country for purposes of burial or to ultimately cover the burial costs in the country of death.

If I decease while volunteering with Marine Reach Vanuatu, Marine Reach Vanuatu will make every effort to contact my family to discus burial options. If my family desires to see the body transported back home, my family must incur the cost.

I agree that in the case of my death while volunteering with Marine Reach Vanuatu, if my family desires to have my body shipped home, my family is prepared to pay all costs. If my family does not consent to incur the cost of transport and burial at home or Marine Reach Vanuatu is unable to make contact with my family after making every attempt, I agree for Marine Reach Vanuatu to carry out the burial in the location of the deceased. I hereby absolve Marine Reach Vanuatu and all its volunteer staff and associates of the burial and transport costs.

Course Financial Agreement Form
For Pacific Islands DTS the cost is between $500 - $1500 USD depending on your home country.

World A: $1500 USD

World B: $750 USD

World C: $500 USD

Your fees cover tuition, accommodation, food, stream activities, and all school related transportation costs for the 12 weeks of lecture phase and the 3 weeks of commissioning phase.

As a school you will fundraise together during lecture phase to raise funds for outreach costs.

*NOTE EXCLUSIONS - Does not include personal travel costs to and from Vanuatu, health insurance, immunisations and visas to enter Vanuatu (if applicable).

FEES PAYMENT SCHEDULE:
50% of the total fees must be paid upon arrival. 25% of the total school costs to be paid by week 10 of lectures. The final 25% of the total school costs must be paid by November 29th.

All fees must be paid according to the Fees Payment Schedule. Students will not be able to begin involvement unless they are able to make the first payment. In addition, students will not be considered eligible for involvement in outreach if 75% of all fees are not paid by the end of week 10. Students will not be considered eligible for graduation if 100% of all fees are not paid by November 18th.
I confirm I understand my financial obligations to Marine Reach Vanuatu, and that payment of required fees must be made monthly and I agree to do so. I, therefore, commit myself to pay all personal expenses incurred during my time with Marine Reach Vanuatu.
Refund Policy
The Family Care Centre will refund a student for the following reasons:

1. Student voluntary withdrawals from the school.

2. Student is asked to leave because of breach of code ofconduct.
