  • What is an apprenticeship?

    The L4 Diploma in Hospitality Apprenticeship Program allow learners to earn and learn while achieving nationally recognized qualifications. Apprenticeships are paid jobs that are structured to allow student learning to take place on the job, along with some accompanying classroom instruction.

    What is the programme duration and structure?

    The programme duration is 2 years (40% coursework and learning at the Dubai College of Tourism, One Central and 60% practical on-the-job training with a Hospitality Partner.)


    Who is eligible to apply? Candidates must meet the following criteria:

    - Age 18+
    - Nationality: Emirati passport holder with Family book (Khulasat Al Qaid)
    - Education Level: A high-school graduation certificate or its equivalent is the minimum requirement.
    - Status: Candidates must be registered in Nafis.
    - Availability: Candidates must not be employed or enrolled in full-time education, as the program requires full-time participation during the training period.

    Do candidates have to pay any fees for the programme?

    No, selected candidates do not have to pay any fees. The program is fully sponsored by Nafis and one of the participating hospitality partners — provided the candidate meets the required eligibility criteria.

    What is the salary of the Hospitality/DCT apprenticeship?

    The monthly salary for the Hospitality Apprenticeship Program varies depending on the hotel partner, as each company offers its own compensation package. 
    Additional Nafis top-up based on the candidate’s education level — provided the candidate meets the required eligibility criteria.

    When does the Hospitality Apprenticeship Program start post-selection?

    The next batch is set to begin in October 2025.

    What language will the training be delivered in?

    The training will be delivered in English.

    Where does the training take place?

    - Classroom Training: Conducted at Dubai College of Tourism, located in Dubai One Central.

    - On-the-Job Training: Conducted at the hotel location (Most of the hotels are located in Dubai, with a few in the Northern Emirates.)

    How is the DCT selection criteria?

    - Interested candidates should pass the interview with the Hospitality partner’s first round 
    - Then pass a DCT English and Math assessment at the Dubai College of Tourism in person
