  • The primary purpose of the Zoe Nicole Martin Endowment Scholarship is to honor the memory of Zoe Nicole Martin and her time as a student at Saints Francis & Clare of Assisi. With the help of the Johnson County Community Foundation (JCCF) the We are Zoe STRONG Foundation was able to create an Endowment Fund in her honor and create an annual scholarship to be used for required eighth-grade fees by an eighth-grade student at Saints Francis & Clare of Assisi School.

    The awarded endowment scholarship will be announced annually during the end of school award program at Saints Francis & Clare of Assisi to a nominated seventh-grade student that is registered and enrolled for their eighth-grade year at Saints Francis & Clare of Assisi.

  • Details of the Endowment Scholarship

    1. Teachers, Faculty and Parishioners of Saints Francis & Clare will be able to nominate individuals in 7th grade that meet the above requirements.  Applications that are filled out online will be collected by the We are Zoe STRONG Foundation, individuals who fill it out by hand can mail it or drop it off at the main office in an envelope marked Zoe Nicole Martin Endowment Scholarship Application; Saints Francis & Clare of Assisi, 5901 Olive Branch Road, Greenwood, IN 46143.

    2. Once all applications have been received those individuals will then be shared with the administrating team of Saints Francis & Clare of Assisi (Father, School Principal, Assistant Principal, and School Commission Chair) and the We are Zoe STRONG Foundation for final consideration and to select the awarded recipient.

      The Application Deadline is May 15 of the nominated student’s 7th-grade year.

    3. The endowment scholarship will provide funding for eighth-grade year required fees. This could include their 8th grade end of year trip, field trip fees, CYO fees, book fees, and/or uniform cost.
    4. Funds will be distributed by the Johnson County Community Foundation to Saints Francis & Clare of Assisi in August, prior to the beginning of the students eighth grade year.  The funds will then be held and distributed by Saints Francis & Clare of Assisi to the student during their eighth-grade year.
      • If the awarded student leaves Saints Francis & Clare of Assisi before the completion of their eighth-grade year or before all the funds have been used, the remaining funds will be deposited and used for the Saints Francis & Clare of Assisi Godparent Tuition Assistance Program.
    5. Endowment Scholarship recipients are to be known as Zoe Nicole Martin Endowment Community Scholars.
