Proposed rent increase options for 2023/24.  Logo
  • Proposed rent increase options for 2023/24.

  • In order to inform our discussions with the Scottish Government on the future of rent controls on the social housing sector, SFHA is collecting information on proposed rent increase options for 2023/24.

We are working with GWSF and hope to have data from as much of the sector as possible which highlights that RSLs are conscious of rent affordability and intend on applying below inflation rent increases. We believe this information will demonstrate our members are carefully balancing affordable rents with much needed investment in existing stock and the supply of new homes.

Please complete the short survey below by November 7.

  • The additional survey below has been designed alongside members and intends to build a picture of how many organisations are at risk at different rent cap levels and if mitigations will start to take place and in what areas. There is also space to provide additional information on areas not mentioned.

The information is being captured based on a one-year rent freeze and caps of 3% and 5%.
