    Vegan Holiday Bazaar 2022

    Vendor Information and Application
  • A Broken Angel’s Vegan Holiday Bazaar
    Saturday, November 5, 2022 – 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Venue: Spoken Moto (outdoor), 310 SW Industrial Way, Bend

Thank you for your interest in our second annual Vegan Holiday Bazaar! (We're so glad to be back: Our first was in 2019 and the break was due to the pandemic.) Top priority will be given to vegan vendors selling vegan clothing, wares, artwork, cosmetics/skincare, and baked goods, etc. (Limited space is available for those representing vegan services and nonprofits, unless you also have a product to sell - see below for ideas.)

  • Vendor Information & Regulations

  • Before applying, please read the following:

VENDOR FEE: $40 fee (non-refundable). We also request that you donate one creative item to our gift basket for the raffle. Ideas: Small size product or gift certificate for goods or services. Stuck on what to contribute to the basket? Ask us! (Note: We will be raffling off a holiday gift basket featuring unique products from our vendors and local vegan businesses. Raffle tickets will be available for purchase. A portion of the bazaar proceeds will benefit select animal, social justice, or environmental nonprofits in Central Oregon.)

We love supporting the vegan community and vegan-friendly businesses* in Bend and Central Oregon and we’re excited to promote you through our local vegan bazaar, which is free for attendees.

    MINIMUM VENDOR REQUIREMENTS:

    • Products being sold must be 100% vegan.
    • Priority is given to locally made (Central Oregon first, then Oregon).
    • Must be able to bring your own table, tent, supplies, and staff.

Because A Broken Angel operates a food trailer onsite and other businesses sell food and drink, we are limiting bazaar food vendors to holiday baked goods, candies, or pre-packaged items. Of course, if you are accepted as a food vendor, you must comply with local health code and obtain necessary permits, when applicable.

    WE RARELY ACCEPT:

    • Multi-level marketing businesses (not sure if your business is an MLM? Check here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_multi-level_marketing_companies)
    • Information-only tables. Our holiday bazaar is a chance to highlight vegan wares. We prefer that you have at least one item to sell of interest to holiday shoppers. Do you have creative members who might have crafts or other items to sell like ornaments, catnip toys, or knit scarves?

    ACCEPTANCE IS BASED ON:

    • Meeting the above criteria.
    • How different your product/business is compared to our current roster of vendors.

ON THE DAY OF THE BAZAAR:

    1. All vendors must abide by the terms to which they agreed on the application.
    2. You will be assigned a spot roughly 10' x 10', please plan accordingly and bring a table and chairs plus a pop-up tent, if desired. If you bring a tent, please also bring heavy weights to secure it against our Central Oregon winds.
    3. The organizers and venue are NOT responsible for your set-up or to cover your table during the bazaar.
    4. During the event, vendors should not be consuming/drinking/wearing non-vegan items. YOU are responsible for ensuring that anyone staffing your table or affiliated with your table follows these rules.
    5. All vendors must be respectful of the organizers, venue, other vendors and all attendees. We have a ZERO tolerance policy when it comes to any form of discrimination (racism, homophobia, etc.), harassment, bullying, body shaming, etc. Nor is this the place to shame or debate others on how "plant-based" or "vegan" they are in their personal lives. *
    6. Vendor set-up begins at 9 a.m. (not before). All vendors need to be set up and ready to vend at 10 a.m. sharp. You may not be allowed to set up and vend if you arrive after the bazaar opens.
    7. This is a Zero Waste event. All vendors must participate in zero waste practices. All utensils, food ware, cups, napkins, and containers must be clearly labeled "compostable" or 100% recyclable. We ask that other materials used are mindful of the environment as well.

    * You don’t need to personally be vegan to vend at the bazaar, but we require that the products you bring are. That means free of animal products or by-products. This includes but is not limited to: meat, dairy, eggs, honey, whey, gelatin, fur, leather, wool, feathers, bone, horn, ivory, silk, silk by-products, shell, pearls, shellac, confectioners glaze, beeswax, bee pollen, carmine, cochineal, and red dye #4. We also ask that products are palm oil free, slave-free, and fair trade. If you have any questions about whether a product you use meets the above criteria, please email info@abrokenangel.com!

    >> Is your business/service/project/nonprofit a fit for our holiday bazaar?

If so, apply to be a vendor below! (Submitting an application does not mean automatic acceptance into the bazaar. We will review your application and get back to you within a few days.)
