If I think your concept is a good fit for my style & current skill set, I will reach out with a quote and link to make an appointment.

For custom appointments, the required deposit is $150-250. Part of the deposit will be applied to the final tattoo cost at your appointment, and part of this deposit is a drawing fee that scales based on design size, complexity & other factors. Sales tax included in all prices unless otherwise noted.

If your proposal is outside my wheelhouse or I don't think I can do it justice, I'll try to direct you to a more suitable artist.

Technical Guidelines:

Please keep my style in mind - not all techniques are in my repertoire. If you're not sure, upload a photo of the technique you would like and I'll let you know if I can do it!
While I can and do often work small & with some level of detail, I am not an ultra-fine line/ microrealism artist.

Things I'm excited about (but don't feel limited to...):

Animals & pet portraits
I'd love to incorporate botanical elements, but please be specific about which plants you'd like! (i.e. swordfern & rosehip instead of "pnw plants")
Weird combinations / juxtapositions of living things and inanimate objects
I would love to do more creepy/gorey things

A few hard No's:

No designs with a lot of geometric elements (i.e. sacred geometry tatoos)
No mandalas
No appropriative or racist imagery
No portraits of family, celebrities, etc... where resemblance needs to be maintained (non face elements OK, i.e. hands)
Please do not send me another tattoo artist's design or finished tattoo to rework into a similar design (If you purchase a tattoo ticket from either a tattoo artist or a non-tattoo artist, or commission a work to be tattooed, please be prepared with payment receipts and explicit permission from the original artist)

Please focus on the relevant details & specific visual elements you'd like me to focus on! While I appreciate being given artistic liberty, its helpful for you to have a good idea of what you're looking for as far as subject matter. I appreciate freedom to interpret your chosen subject, not the pressure of trying to guess what is going to be best for your body & preferences with little guidance or input. (Think pose, specific details that are important to you, etc...)

Are you looking for B&W or Color?

Is there anything you don't want in your tattoo?

For example, if you are looking for colors, are there any colors that you don't want in the palette? If you're looking for a butterfly in the design, do you want to avoid any particular species? Are there shading techniques that you don't like the look of?

Desired size in inches

Providing a range is ok! Having a rough size to go on helps me know how to structure a design and how detailed to draw

Desired placement

You can change your mind. This just helps me get a rough idea of what to expect coming into your appointment and suggest placements depending on your desired design.

***NOTE***

Sometimes I offer vintage illustration as flash pieces that were created in other mediums by other artists. These are always labeled, if not in the highlight, always in the original flash release post / tattoo photo posts.

These pieces are not done my natural drawing style, so creating new pieces in those styles is not something I can necessarily deliver. Every artist's hand is different, and in coming to me for a custom piece, my expecation is that you are looking for something in my natural drawing style. If you find an existing vintage illustration by one of those illustrators that you would like to have tattooed, please attach it below!

Please feel free to attach photos below of any tattoos of mine that you especially like or want the technique replicated- this is really helpful for me to make sure I deliver what you're looking for! Elements, style, mood, etc. Upload another tattoo artists work to show me techniques you might be interested in (like how heavy of a line or style of shading, etc...), not concepts or designs to rework.

*Why don't we want to use AI-generated images during the tattoo process?

AI doesn't know how to tattoo - there are considerations for building images meant to last in skin that AI doesn't understand, and that can set up expectations that are not realistic for this medium.
Having a rendered image from AI creates a reference point that is hard for both of us to let go of. A simple sketch is great if you have a composition in mind for the space, but providing a rendered image and then asking an artist to use their own creativity is a lot like saying "Don't think of a pink elephant." Even if we do our best, it's hard for both of us to not compare any final drawing I might do for you to an AI image.
As tattoo artists, we hope that you're coming to us for our artistic style and creative problem solving. We don't want to outsource the artistic process we have developed with years of hard work to AI, and we want to bring you the best that we have to offer!
AI generated images are the result of theft, undercut our work and income, and the energy required to create AI images (or to run AI prompts on any platform umless you have done the work to create your own server) takes precious resources from our shrinking natural spaces.

Is there anything you would like me to be aware of before your appointment?

e.g. any privacy/accessibility/comfort needs, relevant health information that would affect the tattooing or healing process, etc… Your information is confidential and will not be shared.

A non-refundable deposit of $150-250 is required to make an appointment. Part of this deposit is a drawing fee that scales based on design size, complexity & other factors, the remainder will be applied to the final cost at your appointment. For multi-session pieces, the drawing fee/deposit may be more. We will discuss this, as well as session cost and estimated number of sessions prior to scheduling!

Your appointment may be rescheduled once given at least 5 full days notice. Reschedules less than 5 days before appointment / subsequent reschedules will require an additional deposit which will not count towards the cost of your tattoo.

By making an appointment & paying the drawing fee, you agree to pay the quoted tattoo price in cash on the day of your appointment. Venmo or credit/debit card fees will be added to the final cost of your tattoo if you do not bring cash. Note that all prices include 10.55% sales tax.

A KN95 (or equivalent) mask is required for the duration of the appointment, excepting water / snack breaks.

I have received a COVID-19 vaccination and at least 1 booster

Guests are welcome at tattoo appointments, however they must be able to entertain themselves for the duration of the appointment, and must not be disruptive to our session. Please provide notice above or by email before your appointment if you are hoping to bring a guest to your session so I know what to expect!

Please check the following if your name provided above is different than the legal name that appears on your ID.
