  • Eligibility Requirements

  • A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior who has demonstrated excellence in Art. Art submissions will be judged for aesthetic and intellectual purposes, for beauty and meaningfulness.  

    The applicant must have maintained a cumulative GPA of 2.5 (weighted) or above and a grade of A or B in all Art classes taken at D'Evelyn.

    Please note that there is a Teacher Ranking Form (included below) that you will need to print and deliver to an Art teacher of your choice. The teacher will drop off the completed form in the counseling office. If the Teacher Ranking Form is not received by the due date your scholarship application will be considered incomplete.

    Please note that up to five photos of items from your portfolio will need to be uploaded into the application below.

    I understand that all submitted materials will be reviewed by members of the D’Evelyn Education Foundation Scholarship Selection Committee, none of whom are from the current enrolled D’Evelyn community or employed by the Jefferson County School District to work at D’Evelyn Jr/Sr High School. I understand that the applicant will not receive any scholarship money from or through the DEF if he/she does not enroll in a two- or four-year college/university within one year following his/her graduation date from D’Evelyn. I shall promptly notify the Treasurer of the DEF Board of Directors in the event the applicant fails to enroll within that year. I believe that all my applications fairly and accurately reflect my character, intentions, and record, and are true and correct to the best of my knowledge.
