We highly recommend going to obedience classes with your puppy. Even if you get an older puppy/dog from us, it would be a great way to help the bonding experience.

Your household activity level would you say is: super chill, mid-level active, or always outdoors and on the go?

Our labs have very even level temperaments. Energy/activity levels can differ, some prefer being a "couch potato" over doing a 5-mile hike. Others enjoy spending all day swimming and running around. We would want to match energy levels accordingly.

We introduce our puppies to litter boxes, astro turf, and pee pads while they are with us. There will be accidents as they adjust to their new home and getting use to your schedule but consistency and paying attention to their tells are key.

A fun way to bond and keep active, if you haven't thought of it before. Highly recommend Dock Diving, Rally, Agility, and Therapy/Obedience (in general).

Please Be Aware When Buying A Westlane Puppy (or Older Dog).

All Westlane puppies are sold with Limited Registration (LR) to promote ethical, responsible breeding practices. LR does not reflect the quality of the dog—your puppy/older dog is still a well-bred, healthy, and temperamentally sound companion. LR means that it cannot be bred and if doing so - any offspring from him/her are not eligible for registration with the AKC, CKC, or any recognized registry. However, with LR, the purchaser may still participate in the following events:

AKC and CKC-sanctioned activities & events, excluding conformation shows.
UKC and IABCA-sanctioned activities & events, including conformation shows.
Example of activities & events: Obedience, Rally, Agility, Scent Work, and more.

Our Deposit & Reservation Policy

A $500 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a Westlane puppy or adult dog. Deposits serve to hold your puppy until they are ready to go home at 10 weeks or in the case for older dogs, we would indicate that he/she is sold and would stop advertising them.

Important Details:
- The deposit is non-refundable, even if you change your mind about getting a puppy or you decide to purchase from another breeder.
- If you're not ready for a puppy when the litter is ready to go home, your deposit can be transferred to a future litter.
- We cannot guarantee color outcomes when breeding parents carry multiple colors. Deposits are accepted for male or female reservations—please note your preferences on here so we can do our best to accommodate you.
- The deposit amount is applied to the total purchase price.
- Before you submit a deposit - if you have any questions about our deposit policy, pricing, or puppy contract, please ask before submitting. We’re happy to provide clarification and help you make the best decision for your family.

Final Payment - The remaining balance is due in full at the time of pick-up, payable in cash, unless other arrangements have been agreed upon in advance.
