  • Volunteer Opportunities

Client Needs Donations - Throughout the year there are different projects where you and your family can work together to make an impact.  Examples include putting together hygiene kits; feminine hygiene items; new baby kits with diapers and wipes; welcome home baskets for newly housed families with cleaning supplies and grocery gift cards; or transportation support kits with gas cards or MARTA passes. These kits provide our families with needed supplies so they can focus on lasting self-sufficiency.  Please see our Amazon wish list at a.co/gfNHjgJ for item suggestions.

Office Cleaning -  Completing organizational tasks or light housekeeping tasks to include sanitizing handles and railings, washing walls, doors and windows,  vacuuming floors, dusting countertops and furniture. Painting and handyperson help is also welcome from time to time.

Childcare - Childcare is provided at our office Mon. - Fri. between 9 am - 3:30 pm or at our partner location on Mondays evenings from 5:30-7:30 pm. One volunteer per 3 children. Volunteers will have a MAP staff with them at the time of volunteering and should never be alone with a child or group of children. A background check is required. Trauma awareness training is required. In this role, all volunteers should be respectful and kind in their relationship to the children and clients.

Meal Volunteer - Help us spread a bit of hope and joy to the families that need a bit of help putting food on their tables.  A simple meal can provide significant comfort for families.  You can help by providing a wonderful home-cooked meal for our moms or a store bought frozen one.  All meals should be delivered to our MAP offices, no deliveries will be made directly to families.  Hearty, health-conscious meals are appreciated.

Events - MAP holds a few events each year and will reach out for assistance when necessary.

Board Member - If you are interested in joining MAP's Board of Directors, you will be connected to our Board recruitment chair.

Other - If you have an expertise that you think would be helpful to our families or organization, please let us know and we'll reach out to you!

Please contact mapinfo@mapfamily.org with any questions.
