We are proud to offer financial assistance to our members through our FREEMASONS FOUNDATION Student Support Fund, originally set up in 2016 from a 30th anniversary Boosted crowdfunding campaign. We also receive donations and grants aimed specifically at assisting members with fees.

Support is offered towards the international tour (in 2nd year of choir cycle), and varies upon individual needs. However, it is not usually more than $2,000.

NB. This support (if granted) is not a cash payout - it simply comes off the total of the international tour fee invoice, once the full fee has been confirmed.

Your application should be discussed with your parent/guardian and their name & email must be provided in the application (they must sign if you're under 18) - we will contact them once we receive your application.

Also on our website is a document listing fundraising suggestions - remember that fundraising outcomes are always reliant upon how much effort you are prepared to put in, and the earlier you start the better.

BUDGET

NZSSC 2025-2026 membership is estimated at around $8,170 total for the full two years (depending on our international tour destination). Fees are fully detailed in your membership agreement. Remember that the NZSSC Support Fund goes towards your international tour fee's (in the 2nd year of choir cycle) and it is also generally not more than $2,000. No physical money will change hands - whatever is awarded to you will simply be taken off your total intl. tour fee invoice (once that fee is set).
