2. The registration fee is nonrefundable unless the School rejects, in its sole discretion, Student’s application for admission. The deposit will be applied to the Student's final payment in May, 2025 or after the 30 days written notice is received if the Student is leaving the progam before the end of the school year.
3. Tuition Obligation: Parent understands that Student is being enrolled for the entire 2024-2025 Academic Year. Parent further understands that the overhead expenses of the School do not diminish with the departure of some students during the course of the school year, therefore once this Contract is submitted with the Registration Fee, Parent becomes liable for the entire year’s tuition and fees as liquidated damages (and not a penalty) even if the Student is withdrawn, absent, or is involuntarily separated from School UNLESS the Parent terminates this Contract in strict accordance with the termination procedures set forth in this Contract. Tuition for the remaining school year will be due and payable until such written notice is received. Parent understands that after January 5th the 30-day withdrawal notice will no longer be available, and if Parent decides to withdraw Student, Parent will be responsible for the remaining school year tuition
5. School Rules: Student’s enrollment at the School is subject to the general statements, rules, regulations, conditions, and financial terms contained in the Parent Handbook and other published documents, which may be amended from time to time. Parent acknowledges that Parent and Student must abide by such School rules and guidelines.

In the event of default (default being 30 days past due), Parent also agrees to pay all costs of collection, including collection agency fees, attorney’s fees, and court costs.
8. Default of Payment: Student with tuition due 7 days past the stated deadline will not be allowed to continue to attend classes until the fees are up to date. Students will not be allowed to participate in other School functions unless tuition and fees are paid by deadlines stated in the Tuition Schedule (or until Parent makes other written arrangements acceptable to the School). School will not allow re-enrollment of
the Student for the following school year until all past due fees are paid in full. Accounts that are 14 days past due will be referred to a collection agency.
9. School/Family Cooperation: A positive and constructive relationship between the School, Student & Family Members/Guardians is essential to North Star Montessori’s purpose and ability to provide a successful Montessori education program and care to its students. If any Family Member engages in behavior, communications, or interactions on or off campus, that is disruptive, intimidating, aggressive, or reflects a disagreement with the School’s policies, methods of instruction, or discipline, or otherwise interferes with the School’s safety procedures, responsibilities, or accomplishment of its educational purpose or program, the School reserves the right to dismiss the Family or Family member from the community. The school may also place restrictions on a Family Member’s involvement or activity at
School for other reasons that the School deems appropriate. Any determination under this paragraph shall be in the School’s sole discretion. There will be no refund of tuition where such dismissal occurs and any unpaid balance is payable in full according to the terms of this Contract.
10. Understanding of Terms: By signing below, Parent acknowledges that Parent understands the terms of this Contract, Parent’s obligation to pay the full year’s tuition even if the Student is withdrawn or dismissed, the Parent’s option to terminate, and all other obligations set forth herein.

If such an event occurs, the School’s duties and obligations in this Contract will be postponed until such time as the School, in its sole discretion, may safely reopen. In the event that the School cannot reopen due to an event under this clause, the School is under no obligation to refund any portion of the tuition paid.
12. Entire Agreement: This Agreement sets forth the entire understanding of the parties hereto with the subject matter hereof. There have been no other warranties or commitments made by any party, verbal or otherwise, other than the warranties contained herein.
