  • Initial F1 Visa (Applying from your country):

    Choose this option if you intend to apply for a U.S. Student Visa by scheduling an interview at a U.S. Embassy or Consulate in your home country. This process involves submitting the necessary documentation, attending an in-person interview, and obtaining approval for your F1 Visa to study in the United States.

    After paying all required fees to EBETEC Language Academy, you must also pay two primary fees charged by separate U.S. government agencies in order to apply for an F-1 student visa to study in the United States:

    1. SEVIS I-901 Fee: $350
    The Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) fee supports the maintenance of the system that tracks international students and exchange visitors in the U.S.

    • Agency: U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), specifically through its Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP)
    • Amount: $350
    • Purpose: Supports the SEVIS system, which monitors F-1 students and their compliance with visa rules.
    • Who Pays: All new F-1 visa applicants
    • When to Pay: After receiving your Form I-20 from EBETEC Language Academy and before scheduling your visa interview
    • How to Pay: Online at FMJfee.com

    Important Notes:

    • Dependents applying for F-2 visas are not required to pay this fee.
    • This fee must be paid before scheduling your visa interview and is tied to your SEVIS ID (found on your Form I-20).


    2. DS-160 Visa Application Fee: $185
    This is the standard non-refundable fee for processing the nonimmigrant visa application.

    • Agency: U.S. Department of State, through U.S. embassies and consulates abroad
    • Amount: $185
    • Purpose: Covers the cost of processing your nonimmigrant visa application (F-1 is a nonimmigrant category).
    • Who Pays: All F-1 visa applicants
    • When to Pay: Before attending your visa interview
    • Website for Information & Payment: https://ceac.state.gov - Instructions are provided during the DS-160 application process on the U.S. Department of State's website.

    Important Note:

    • This fee is usually paid online or at a designated bank/processing center in your country before the visa interview.
    • EBETEC Language Academy is not responsible for paying your SEVIS Fee or the DS-160 Fee. It is the applicant's responsibility to fill out the information and pay both fees.

  • Transfer F1 Visa:

    Select this option if you are currently studying in the United States on an F or M Visa and wish to transfer your Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) record to EBETEC Language Academy. By choosing this option, you can seamlessly transition your enrollment to our institution and continue your studies with us without interruption. Ensure that you follow the transfer process as outlined by your current school and the SEVP to maintain your visa status.

  • Reinstatement (Terminated Students):

    Select this option if your Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) record has been terminated, and you wish to regain your active status. Please note that EBETEC Language Academy will carefully review your application and make a decision at its sole discretion. However, approval of reinstatement cannot be guaranteed, as it depends exclusively on the adjudication process conducted by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). This process requires submitting a reinstatement application, paying the applicable government fees, and providing all necessary documentation to demonstrate your eligibility and compliance with F1 Visa regulations.

  • Re-entry (Students Outside the United States):

    Select this option if you currently hold a valid, unexpired Student Visa stamped in your passport and plan to return to the United States to continue your studies at EBETEC Language Academy. To facilitate your re-entry, EBETEC will issue a new Form I-20, which you must carry along with a valid passport and other required travel documentation.

    Please note that while EBETEC provides the necessary documentation, we cannot guarantee your re-entry into the United States, as the final decision rests solely with the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officer at the port of entry. It is essential to ensure all your documents are valid and comply with U.S. entry requirements.

  • Change of Visa Status:

    Select this option if you are currently in the United States and wish to apply for a change of status from your current visa classification to F1 Student Status. EBETEC Language Academy will assist by providing the required documentation, including a Form I-20, to support your application.

    Please be aware that while EBETEC facilitates this process, we cannot guarantee the approval of your change of status. Approval is determined solely by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) through their adjudication process. The application may also involve additional fees and documentation to demonstrate your eligibility and compliance with U.S. immigration regulations.

     

    Here are the brief steps to apply for a Change of Status (COS) to an F-1 student status while inside the U.S.:

    1. Get accepted by EBETEC Language Academy, which is a SEVP-certified school
      • Apply by submitting this form and receive an acceptance letter from the EBETEC Language Academy.
    2. Obtain Form I-20 from EBETEC Language Academy
      • The school issues a Form I-20, “Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant Student Status.”
      • You must pay the SEVIS I-901 fee online before filing for COS.
    3. Prepare your Change of Status application. We strongly encourage the applicants to seek professional assistance.
      • File Form I-539, Application to Extend/Change Nonimmigrant Status, with USCIS.
      • Include supporting documents.
        • Copy of your I-20 (signed by you and the DSO)
        • I-901 SEVIS fee receipt
        • Copy of current I-94
        • Copy of passport, visa, and previous approval notices
        • Proof of financial support (bank statements, sponsor affidavit, etc.)
        • Letter explaining your intent to study full-time
    4. Submit to USCIS
      • File online or by mail with the required filing fee and biometrics fee.
    5. Wait for USCIS decision.
      • Processing may take several months; you must maintain your current non-immigrant status until the decision is made.
    6. Begin studies only after approval.
      • You can only start as an F-1 student once USCIS approves your COS and the F-1 start date arrives.

    Important Note: If you travel abroad while the change of status is pending, USCIS will consider it abandoned, and you would instead need to apply for an F-1 visa at a U.S. consulate abroad.

    All students applying for a REINSTATEMENT must file the I-539 Form with USCIS within 30 days from the enrollment date and pay all USCIS applicable fees. EBETEC Language Academy is not responsible for filing the I-539 Form.

  • Submission of this form is required of students before SEVIS documents can be issued by EBETEC Language Academy.

    This form must be completed and signed to verify the evidence of financial support for the issuance of an I-20. Signatures, bank statement(s) dated within the last 3 months, and/or supporting verification documents are required.

  • An I-20 cannot be issued until a bank statement proving financial ability has been received by EBETEC Language Academy. Financial documents dated more than 3 months prior to the date of I-20 issuance cannot be accepted.
    Visa regulations require all F visa holders to provide certified evidence of adequate funds to meet tuition and living expenses for a proposed program of study.
    Each student or personal sponsor (friends or family) must provide a statement or letter from the bank showing U.S. dollars or the type of currency where the account is held totaling the amount needed. EBETEC Language Academy requires US$ 13,000 for the Intensive English Program to be available per year.

  • Students must submit this form before SEVIS documents can be issued. An I-20 cannot be issued until EBETEC Language Academy receives an acceptable Affidavit of Financial Support and bank certification. Financial documents dated more than three months prior to the date of I-20 issuance cannot be accepted.
    United States visa regulations require all F visa holders to provide certified evidence (Affidavit of Financial Support) of adequate funds to meet tuition and living expenses for a proposed program of study.

    By selecting the "I Agree and Accept the Terms and Conditions" option, you are signing the EBETEC Language Academy Application Form electronically. You agree your electronic signature is the legal equivalent of your manual/handwritten signature on this Application. By selecting "I Agree and Accept the Terms and Conditions" using any device, means, or action, you consent to the legally binding terms and conditions of this Agreement. You further agree that your signature on this document (hereafter referred to as your "E-Signature") is as valid as if you signed the document in writing. You also agree that no certification authority or other third-party verification is necessary to validate your E-Signature and that the lack of such certification or third-party verification will not in any way affect the enforceability of your E-Signature or any resulting agreement between you and EBETEC Language Academy. You are also confirming that you are the student authorized to enter into this Agreement.

  • CONSENT TO ELECTRONIC DELIVERY

    By selecting the “I Agree and Accept the Terms and Conditions” option, you specifically agree to receive, obtain, and/or submit any and all EBETEC Language Academy documents and information electronically. These documents and information will be collectively known as "Electronic Communications" and will include, but not be limited to, any and all current and future required notices, tuition invoices, and/or disclosures concerning EBETEC Language Academy Regulations. You are acknowledging that you are able to use the email you provided in this agreement and are able to retain Electronic Communications by printing and/or downloading and saving this Agreement and any other agreements, Electronic Communications, documents, or records that are signed using your E-Signature. You accept Electronic Communications provided via email as reasonable and proper notice for the purpose of fulfilling any and all rules and regulations and agree that such Electronic Communications fully satisfy any requirement that communications be provided to you in writing or in a form that you may keep.

    By signing this application, I authorize EBETEC Language Academy to send me future written correspondence regarding my account(s) via email and/or text messages. By consenting to electronic communication and invoices, I agree to receive all communications, including but not limited to invoices, statements, notices, warnings, and other relevant documents, electronically via email and/or text messages. My email and/or text messaging authorization does not obligate EBETEC Language Academy to communicate with me by email and/or text messages to my cell phone or cease non-electronic communication. I am advised that some circumstances may prevent EBETEC Language Academy from responding to my inquiry by email and/or text messaging.

    By signing this Agreement with EBETEC Language Academy, I acknowledge:

    • The e-mail address provided is a personal email address and is not provided or owned by a company.
    • The cell phone number provided is my personal cell phone number and is not provided by a company.
    • By signing this Agreement, I authorize EBETEC Language Academy to contact me via email and/or text messages without any time restrictions.
    • I agree to keep EBETEC Language Academy informed of my current Cell Phone number and will notify EBETEC Language Academy if the number is no longer in my possession.
    • I hereby consent to electronic delivery for invoices and all other communications related to debt collection, hereby waiving any restrictions imposed by the Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act (FCCPA) and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) regarding the timing of communication. I understand that communication may occur between the hours of 9 p.m. and 8 a.m. without any limitations or restrictions. By providing this consent, I acknowledge that I have the ability to access electronic communications during these hours and that I am responsible for reviewing and responding to them in a timely manner. This consent supersedes any conflicting provisions of the FCCPA and the FDCPA.
